Alexa :D happy Drake is not gonna be #1 but wish it was cos of Ed doing up good numbers not cos some Alexa fake streams Except this isn't Christmas where passive streaming goes through the roof and Amazon can get away with excessively throwing their exclusives into play (in the same way that 4 or 5 cover versions of White Christmas can make the Spotify Top 200 since no one's paying that much attention). If Amazon users don't want to listen to Bad Habits or Wellerman or Shotgun or whatever, they'll end up skipping them, no matter what their algorithms do, so their playlists need to evolve with their listeners like any other platform. It's not really any different to Spotify choosing what they put near their top of Hot Hits - if these platforms don't give the public what they want, they don't make money, and the section of the public that choose to consume from Amazon have as much right for their choices to be represented as anyone else.
