Love that :cheer:

A slightly annoying thing is that the previous highest figure a #7 album has sold in 2021 with a whole week of sales, is 7.5k! It certainly shows how busy this week is though. They're doing really well!

(and I've still not even had a dispatch email from their official store, tut!)

They have released on such a competitive week, a week earlier and they could have went top 3 but top 10 is still great for them

I'm sure the purpose of this release is to cash in on the long-term streaming sales of their hits, even if a high peak would be nice of course.

They have moved up to #6 today

HMV signings and personalised Banquet signed copies making all the difference it seems :cheer:

I'm tempted yet also reluctant... because I'm feeling very :drama: that my Signed Deluxe CD/Cassette hasn't dispatched from the official store yet. Apparently the delay is due to the poster that came bundled with it. No communication from the store, I've just read other fans tweeting about it.

Hopefully it gives them a great boost. I doubt it'll get them into the Top 5 but it would still be nice if they could hold onto #6. A pity they chose such a competitive week! The most a #6 album has needed prior to now in 2021 is 8k. The Wanted are already on 11k with 3 more sales days left to go.

Do we reckon The Wanted will end up selling more than JLS in their first week? Feels like JLS have had more hype for longer but think they’ll end up doing worse.

It’s a good question! I’m finding JLS really hard to predict. Maybe they could surprise, but somehow the hype doesn’t feel quite there, at least not to a great extent.

The chart is super competitive right now, but I wonder if their release date will be relatively more calm? So less needed to go Top 10, even though it will be December.

To bring it back to The Wanted, I assume I’m a part of this amount of orders…

Not The Wanted’s Twitter being more communicative than the Universal customer services :drama: Annoying to have waited days. I preordered on the very first day they went up lol. Oh well, hopefully here soon.

Hope you get your bundle soon - Universal are literally the worst online store yet everyone’s faves are signed to them so we have to order from them :drama:

Going to order the Max CD and cassette today :kink:

I would have thought JLS would sell more as back in the day in general their albums sold way more so i was assuming they would have the bigger fan base but the wanted have done much better than i thought so its hard to call as sales are literally so hard to predict.

^^ So close, they still have HMV signings this week so hopefully that will keep them ahead.
Unpopular opinion time, but I listened to this yesterday and was underwhelmed, they really don't have that many great songs. However, I love the one about America, so underrated.
JLS' comeback single did at least make the top 100 which is more than can be said about The Wanted! Though then again they're leaving a longer gap between that and the album release plus it's a studio album vs. a greatest hits so a little complicated to compare, I'm not sure what to expect from them either.

I'm with you Jay. I said this on JLS' thread that I am not right now feeling that confident of the '2.0' album doing well but actually looking at their release date most of the major competition (Adele, Gary Barlow, Westlife) will already be out plus the albums that have come out this week (Taylor, Little Mix, Rod Stewart) so they could well get a top 10 still.

It probably seems impossible to call right now based on the fact they're still on tour up until next Saturday so promo hasn't officially started in earnest. If it does do well for them then that would be brilliant but I'm equally not getting my hopes up in case it doesn't.

But back to The Wanted, I'm saving myself for the orange vinyl of this in the new year but it is lovely to see this do better than many thought it would.
