Well Spotify has confirmed easy on me broke the most streams in a day record, it was Mariah with 17.2 million streams, so if Adele has already broke that, then we are looking 20 million globally or more, I fully expect over 2 million uk streams

To break a Christmas record just on a typical Friday... It's something else... And that comes along with insane YT numbers... And being 1 on AM and Amazon... I mean... How she's doing it?

If she broke Mariah record... So we're expecting around 2M streams in the UK first day now?

What’s the record for the most U.K. chart sales in a single week? Surely she is gonna beat that too, she’s breaking records everywhere!

Highly doubt she's going to break that, I believe the record is 1.55m chart sales in a single week with Candle in the Wind '97. That just doesn't happen in the streaming era.

The crazy thing is there's still another 3-4 hours to go before the end of the full tracking... She might do 20 million+, insane.
I’d read that Butter by BTS was the current single day record holder with around 20.9million - so more than that already?!

Not sure where you read that but it's not true lol, Butter got 11m in 1 day. AIWFCIY is the (former) record holder at 17.2m.

It is but it's more complicated. The daily Spotify charts have filters for manipulating plays/going over the 10 a day limit, but when Spotify tracks a song's lifetime plays on the app, it does *not* have this filter in place. Whether by attempting to game the chart or just pure raw enthusiasm at a new song (the latter is more real than people give it credit), BTS managed about 10 million more plays than Spotify gave them on the chart. The validity of those plays is up to your own scrutiny, but they did happen.

For instance: if you add up My Universe's weekly numbers on the Spotify global chart so far, you get about 83 million, yet on Coldplay's page it has 101 million. By comparison, Shivers adds up to 130 million but on Ed Sheeran's page it's 132 million, much less of a discrepancy given the circumstances.

Huh that's actually really interesting, thanks for letting me know.

So insane!!

I can't even imagine the kind of numbers 30 is going to do.

2.8 million is incredible, I knew she was gonna do at least 2 mil but 2.8 is beyond anyone's imagination
