Wonder how may CD singles in UK she has on pre order so far?

 

Not sold out so maybe they have not pressed them yet and waiting another week or two. If it's not limited edition like the vinyl then surely she will sell 3,000 in UK to give a good base for getting the song top 100 in the charts on album release week.

Pre orders on Amazon and HMV according to their charts doesn't seem too high. Let's hope with promo they pick up.

Out of all the times she made it on the now albums new york city is the only one that surprises me that it made it.

I think from Now 100 onwards there was a particular lean towards acts who could sell albums / had a MOR radio fanbase, obviously to combat the rise in streaming and how increasingly unnecessary compilation album were. But still it does seem odd that what was essentially a glorified bonus track to a greatest hits album that received minimal airplay even from Radio 2 managed to make its way onto a Now album.

Radio 2 playlisting has helped this return to the Top 40 on iTunes - currently #39 - but I’ve also noticed it climbing through the hundreds of the Shazam chart and now it’s #72.

It’s at 14 on today’s official airplay chart, up 161 places.

 

Hopefully that means it’s not just R2 playing it.

 

Kylie only having 5 appearances on Now albums prior to being with Parlophone… :o Nice to see that the new single is included on the latest Now.

It is just to search songs as far as I’m aware, the chart tracks how many times a song is ‘shazamed’.

Yeah, if you hear a song anywhere you use that app to identify the title and the artist. It's been a life saver for me on many occasions.

It’s a good platform though as it shows there is a general interest in the song - also when it identifies the artist/title Shazam provide streaming and download links for the song.

Up to 9 on the rolling airplay chart….let’s hope R2 keep giving it high profile plays and the BBC local network keep supporting with plays.

If it manages to move into the Top 10 in the official radio chart it’ll be Kylie’s first Top 10 since Into the Blue!
