For when she does, it’s going to be this Friday or next imo!

#1. Godele is back stronger, faster, Rollier than ever before. Rihanna and 1D will scream to the heavens: "Save us, oh merciless queen! Deliver us from our eternal void of writing credits and 5 hour stays at #1!"

And Godele will look down and simply whisper "no....

(I'd save the poll for when the song is released but I'll do a pre-prediction of 1.2m first day on Spotify and 150k chart sales for the week - hype will be huge!)

My prediction: 1 million Spotify streams on the first day and a significant amount of paid for sales relative to the 2021 market. A shoe in for a #1 debut. How it will perform after the hype of the first week i'm really not sure.

Hopefully she releases this Friday and stops the Sheeran tedium from continuing any longer.

I think ‘Shivers’ hasn’t been as well received and it’s reign will come to an end after this week anyway.

Well it might not be the case with new remixes coming out

I'm thinking 1.5 million debut on spotify and 150-200k chart sales for the week. The hype/promo will be all there for it. Hopefully the track is great too and it sustains itself after the first week hype!

I don't think I want to live in a world so dominated by Adele and Ed. It all feels so bloody beige and depressingly calculated and mundane.

The '80s and '90s had Phil Collins, Westlife, Michael Bolton, and Celine Dion, all equally beige, but I don't think they were as chart dominant as this. In their eras, there was more variety from other quarters.

Bah humbug is what I say.....

Also going to predict a 1.5 million Spotify debut after how much the number '30' alone has whipped the world into a frenzy

(Intrigued to see how Jesy Nelson and Måneskin will do this week also)

I think she could sell around 30k of physical copies / download sales.

First day debut on Spotify I’m gonna say 1.7m possibly? It’ll be huge!

YouTube views as well I’d also imagine being huge especially if the music video drops same time as the single.

To be honest I think next time Maneskin release a song they'd be an easy #1, but if they're up against Adele probably not. If they did manage to beat Adele it would be historic though. But Adele will easily get over 1 million so it's very unlikely. And if she releases something as good as Rolling in the Deep again the numbers will be out of this world I think.

Maneskin will likely get another long running top ten.

UK wise would not be shocked if Jesy does better in week 1 than them but Adele will probably outsell the top 5 combined

I don't think anyone could beat Adele but turns out her single is out 15th October and Måneskin's is out this Friday (8th October) so no first week battle there after all!

To help ballpark does anyone have a list of the biggest first day Spotify debuts for the UK?

I know Rodrigo got 2.5m one day but that wasn't first day was it? Honestly a name like Adele could possibly do 2m+ first day

I don’t know. I’ll probably be made to eat my words but I’m thinking very high download sales but lower than expected streams
