Just catching up with all of this so far, great to see the big climbs for Runaway (U & I) and Firestone especially  Not here for the dramatic falls for Ariana's tracks though! :drama:

Also go on Faded making it this far, if it reached the top ten that would be a big but very welcome surprise!

We will miss you Midnight City, long may you keep Bre in a state of denial *.*

Wow, Ariana had a bad year, clearly a big shake up at the top though which I'm really interested to see.

Also, AS IF Blind Faith is still to come, go on *.

Sliding a place to #14 Katy B has no reason to cry with her result as she has the top placed song from 2014. Sadly her comeback this year was rather underwhelming but it seems that she will continue to be a presence in the upper end of the contest until 2024 is through and indeed she hasn't left the top 40 with the song yet. It is again good to see at least this song of hers being well regarded on the forum, although I didn't have room for it in my votes.

Meanwhile Bastille reach a new peak with 'Pompeii' spending their second year in the top 20. They are another act who are well past their prime now but that hasn't stopped this song from being an enduring classic and one of the very best guitar-based hits of the decade (Arctic Monkeys will be providing another one in the top 12). The song got a very impressive 21 votes - only two songs matched or beat this. It is also the third highest track from 2013 here. We have two more years to send it into the top 10 which I would be happy to see happen.

We love to see Pompeii getting a new peak. :P

At 12 ‘Faded’ climbs 14 places to reach an all-time high position. The song originally entered ROTD at 188, however has made the final each subsequent year. ‘Faded’ came 2nd in its heat, however in the final round it comes out on top for 2016. What holds ‘Faded’ back from entering the top 10 is more votes; the song gained just 13 votes which is by the lowest of the whole top 30. Its good to see ‘Faded’ so high and it will be interesting to see if it can maintain its high position given its lack of overall backing.

Meanwhile ay 11 Dua loses 1 of her 2 remaining songs as ‘Don’t Start Now’ drops 3 places after its top 10 debut last year. ‘Don’t Start Now’ is an absolute bop and gained 18 votes in total, whilst it came In 3rd place in its 2019 heat, it finishes second in the final behind ‘Everything I Wanted’. Last years top 10 has been pretty much decimated and with 'Don't Start Now' dropping, it means that just 2 of last years top 10 remain the same; 'Somebody I used to Know' and 'Green Light'. 'Don't Start Now' though has held up well year on year and means that with it being out, Dua is now down to just ‘Physical and no artist has more than 1 song going into the top 10.

I think there are already at least four songs from this year that could go straight into the top 20 of next year's RotD.

I was slightly out with my prediction last year - Rain On Me was the one I had in mind that fell short, but with the other 3 all making the top 10, 2020 has punched well above its weight! It's by far my favourite top 10 since I started voting in this, and 7 of them were in my final vote.

Voting for 8/10 - a great result, though I think the song most likely to win is one of the two I didn't vote for (Physical). Gotye and The Weeknd to make up the top 3?

Blind Faith the one I'm most surprised to get this far, but delighted that it has

That’s a good top 10!

I’m really surprised, yet pleased, to see Get Lucky in the top 10 as I thought that had very much fallen out of favour on here.

Shame Faded couldn't quite make the top 10, but great to see that still has a sizable following on here, one of my favourites of the whole decade.

Incredible top 10, best in years, I wasn't that invested in popular music in 2020, but those three new entries are all well deserved and already sound like classics. Indeed, I'm absolutely stunned at Blind Faith, but thrilled!

Ah I thought Faded was going to reach the top 10 at least - guess I saw all the high votes and missed the fact noone else was voting for it!

We know it missed out on a +39 from the person who said they forgot to vote - wonder where that would have put it?

Congratulations Buzzjack on a fantastic Top 10! Blind Faith is the one i'm most surprised by getting this far but i'm not complaining cos it's a great track.

Starting off we have the biggest surprise of the top 10 with Chase & Status making a huge climb. 'Blind Faith' had a slow start but got additional appreciation in the middle of its run and now in their final year it has the best send off anyone could have hoped for. It is a brilliant song so very much deserved here, one of the most anthemic-sounding tracks of the decade and most definitely one of the few dubstep tracks of its time that sound just as great a decade later. C&S hit their commercial peak with this track and for me and many others never quite made anything else as good so it is likely we'll now be saying goodbye to them from the RotD final from here on out. It ends up as the 2nd-highest track from 2011 and was supported by 18 voters including five that put the song in their top five.

Lorde slips a few places but still keeps her place in the top 10 with 'Green Light', impressively one of only two songs to keep their top 10 position. The underwhelming reception that her third album had with fans didn't sour any appreciation for this track which I also consider to be her best effort. The song keeps its title of the biggest from 2017 and got support from 19 voters.

Honestly i'm not that massive on Green Light, it's a good song but there are plenty of Lorde tracks that I would rank above it.

'Blind Faith' going out on a big high

'Green Light' is not one of my absolute faves from Lorde either but it's still great. x

Sad to see Faded leaving. Was my personal no. 2 from the whole of the 10's decade <3

All Top 10 well deserved but surprised BL got this high. Thought the overplay (still ongoing) would work against it. Hope that 'In Your Eyes' gets its chance to shine in future years.

It's tough to predict a winner, but I'm rooting for STIUTK > DIWK? > Physical in Top 3 at this point

Of the 8 remaining tracks I think any would be a hugely deserved winner tbh.

Still rooting for Video Games though.

Yes, Video Games is my favourite left, hoping for a high finish as its send-off though it's already surpassed my expectations here!
