This just proves my theory that every single release by any artist will be unironically declared a flop by someone on Buzzjack eventually.

Easy on me has plenty of life left in it yet but 300k in 2 weeks is not my idea of a flop plus in all likelihood it will probably be on at least 1.5 million this time next year.

adele does better with single 2 :selena:

Easy on me will probably be over 1 million come the end of the year depending on the album boost she gets as I'm sure she will get great numbers.

Flopdelle confirmed. Will the album now be shelved?

I truly worry that XL(Columbia will drop her now and she'll be a pariah in the music industry, unable to get another deal :(

Adele the new Jessie J :D

Really don’t understand these Adele flop comments? I’m guessing it’s all a joke because easy on me is a monster! Selling 217k in a week is the largest in almost 5 years, not just 5 weeks!

She has 3 albums in the top 15, easy on me will easily sell about 1.5 million copies, the album will benefit from huge streams and pure sales first week,

I think some people are joking, and others are just being genuinely weird.

#100. Flopdele is back weaker, slower, unRollier than ever before. Rihanna and 1D will scream to the heavens: "Save us, oh merciless queen! Deliver us from our eternal void of writing credits and 15 week stays at #1!"

And Flopdele will look down and simply whisper "yes...."

Most songs don't peak in week 1 so it's difficult to answer this, but Hello fell by 46% in week 2. Easy On Me is down 63% based on Monday figures.

Thanks! Yeah, it'll be interesting to see what this new album / sound is like. I wasn't impressed w this song the way I was with Hello. And I'm not into Adele anymore.

Some of it is clearly sarcastic but I fear some of the comments are deadly serious.

I wonder how long it will take for someone to declare '30' a flop album when it doesn't match the first week sales of '25'.

I can't wait for all the ABBA-bashing in 2 weeks when they don't sell a million in a day.
The Official Charts Company Midweek Sales Flash is in, and as the race for No.1 intensifies, Elton John is still leading the way in the albums race.

Thanks to 18,959 physical units sold so far, 2,592 sales from downloads and 1,370 from streams, The Lockdown Sessions has built up a healthy lead. Even with Tuesday’s streaming figures still to be counted, strong physical sales from John and fellow heritage act Duran Duran are winning the day so far. The 80s legends have 15,215 sales so far for their 15th studio album Future Past ,compared to John’s 22,921, with 13,886 from physical, 1,067 from downloads and 262 from streams.

Below them at No.3, Lana Del Rey’s Blue Banisters has the second highest total from streams so far, with its return of 1,904 second only to Coldplay’s Music Of The Spheres, which is at No.5 on 10,557 total sales. Biffy Clyro’s The Myth Of Happily Ever After is at No.4 on 13,340 sales. Its physical haul of 11,483 is marginally lower than Del Rey’s 11,694 and, as the week continues, things could still change in the Top 5.

In the singles chart, Adele is heading towards the 70,000 mark for Easy On Me, which has 64,886 sales so far this week. Elton John and Dua Lipa’s Cold Heart (38,570 sales) is at No.2, Ed Sheeran’s Shivers (35,337 sales) is at No.3, Ckay’s Love Nwantiti (Ah Ah Ah) is at No.4 on 21,139 and Glass Animals complete the Top 5 with Heat Waves (19,229 sales).

Easy On Me had 149,865 copies sold as of last week’s Wednesday update. This week, it’s at 64,886 copies in the Wednesday midweeks.

That’s down 84,979 copies from the previous Wednesday update. That’s about a 57% drop from last Wednesday.

Do you guys think that Blue Banisters deserves to be Lana’s lowest charting album to date?
Nice to see decent album sales all round, Elton should break 25k then with Duran 20k plus and the other 3 close to 15k

According to Music Week Elton is now on 22,921

oops didn’t see the report above

It feels like there's no hype around it and it's her second album in this space of a few months. This actually seems like a great performance.

I personally haven’t found that the albums grabbed me in a way her previous eras did. I’d still rank it above Honeymoon but I prefer every other album of hers to this ^_^

But it’s not very much hyped. If I didn’t follow this forum I probably wouldn’t have even been aware she had an album out this week. Definitely feels underhyped. Hopefully we get a longer break for the next album.

Looks like the number 1 is safe for Elton, and Duran Duran could really hold on at number 2, didnt expect duran duran to outsell lana.
