Not a fan of the song (and tbh I thought if anything it sounded more like a DNQ than either of their last two oops) but  for Mosquetania's unfortunate DNQ streak ending x

QUALIFIER #4:

Sovarasma: Party Favor & Elohim - Losing My Mind

QUALIFIER #5:

Dobago: Brenda Fassie - Vuli Ndlela

Now we have production that would slot nicely into a Gesaffelstein record and a South African legend - up with diversity!

Yassss! Thanks everyone for voting <3 Broken my record with the most number of qualifiers this year for Sovarasma/Why So Sirius and it is the first qualifier with female vocals too :cheer:

FARC: HAEVN - Throw Me A Line

QUALIFIER #7:

Thelonia: Futuristic Polar Bears - No Tears Allowed (feat. Franky)

FARC's mellow male vocal swerve complete with trip hop finish pays off and Thelonia are bringing the party energy straight to the final! Well done both :cheer:

Thelonia's song has grown on me a bit with a second listen, can definitely see some hit potential in it now.

Bøtanikkä: Anabel Englund - Midnight Rapture

Three faves in a row! Manifesting Cumulonimbia and Persephonia next pls or Eartheater

QUALIFIER #9:

Cumulonimbia: Zakes Bantwini & Kasango - Osama

Two very different electronic songs make the cut! On one end we have a rapturous Blondie sample and on the other we welcome further South African representation, very chilled at that. Congrats!

 for Cumulonimbia, I liked that one more out of the two South African songs but pleased to see both of them getting through anyway!

QUALIFIER #10:

Utopia: Anna Prior - Thank You For Nothing

QUALIFIER #11:

Fljótavík: Dan Deacon - Snookered

Like Au/Ra, I am also destined to bring good luck to Dan Deacon who featured in the BJSC 89 final as well (with 'Change Your Life (You Can Do It)' for Cumulonimbia)! Congrats to Fljótavík and Utopia as well, the latter make it through with Anna Prior - she's from Metronomy, who also had a taste of the final with 'The Look' *now proceeds to have that stuck in my head*

DNQs coming alongside Qs now...

Another two good qualifiers there, particularly FLJ! (Very different to the other Dan Deacon entry but have enjoyed both of them a lot).
Oh yay! Found the right time to check this thread, thanks to everyone who voted. Always a particular joy when a song you’re really attached to qualifies
