Interesting that they performed Today out of all their new tracks.

It was SO SO SO good. The whole festival was a blast, but seeing them was certainly the highlight. I was shook they did Today, was not expecting that to happen! The vocals were on point, as to be expected with them, their band was fab and they looked so stunning. It really felt like such a return and I hope this is only the start of much more for us. It has taken me 22 years but now I can finally say I have seen them live.

Costumes : I loved Keisha’s outfit (the black metallic look). But I didn’t understand Siobhán or Mutya’s outfits. Surely if it was going to be cold they should have created costumes that were warmer?

Everything else was perfect!

Intro / Push the Button:

About You Now:

Wisely, they centered the About You Now performance around Keisha.

There's a bunch of smaller clips floating around too, but hopefully full versions of the performances will be uploaded... soon.

I can live with that small excerpt of AYN without feeling too icky (and i was right, 1.0 have improved it)

Interesting that they did Today. Maybe Sacred Three isn’t quite as dead as we thought

I always assumed we'd get at least some of the demo tracks re-worked (Keisha had a re-worked version of Only You (?) briefly playing in one of her clips, Siobhan mentioned Metal Heart in one of Mutya's Insta stories). Which makes sense - there's no reason to leave all those songs on the cutting room floor especially since the majority won't have listened to the leaks.

Absolutely! I was happy they only did the short version, seems like a good compromise, because judging by the crowd's reaction most people definitely wanted to hear AYN.

I had hoped we would see some of them again, but they performed one which really confirms that it’s not dead

Oh yeah for sure. The non-hyper fans would be keen for AYN. It was their biggest hit afterall

i'm a bit muddled at their setlist if i'm honest when 90% of the music was tracks without Siobhan and they ommitted 'New Year' and other tracks in favour of... 'Push the Button' (which arguably feels like theiir main song nowadays)

To be fair, New Year isn't really appropriate for a summer festival and I guess they wanted to focus on the hits (+Flatline, Flowers and Today, which are Siobhan tracks). I guess they could've tossed in Soul Sound, but in general when you're in a headlining slot you better drag out all the hits. 5/13 being Siobhan tracks isn't bad considering they ommitted two singles and About You Now was a shortened performance I guess.

New Year would have never worked at Hoopla. I love the song, but I don't think anyone was expecting that and I think it would have been song a strange part of the setlist. You already noticed with Caught In A Moment that some people around me lost their interest. 5 OG Siobhan songs in the setlist worked well and was maybe even more than I thought would happen. If they do their own tour, I would love to hear more One Touch material but a summer headline slot at a festival asks for something different so they always have do to the big hits which are basically all without Siobhan.

I was also at Mighty Hoopla on Saturday and the Sugababes were absolutely awesome. I thought the atmosphere in general throughout their set was great, although I was hoping they'd include Red Dress but otherwise there were so many bangers.

I did think the ending was really abrupt - we were all waiting around for one more song and then the lights went on, I don't think they even said bye?!

It's wild to think that the new track they performed is as old as Ariana Grande's entire music career.

:o :o :o

The only thing I can say is that at least it still sounds so fresh.

Why is this the most Sugababes thing ever!?

 I know what you mean, I kind of love it, it just felt odd.

Also I have to say, I'm so impressed they had a live band. I just wrote this in the Little Mix board, but I've aways been disappointed they never had one when touring, it really does make a huge difference in the sound and atmosphere.

The harmonies on Saturday night were also just to die for, their voices gel so well together.

'New Year' is A) a total buzz-kill and B) a song that heavily references Christmas

It looked like an utterly incredible night.

They've always worked so well with a live band. That's what makes the absence of any tour DVDs so frustrating. The 2004 AOL Sessions are stunning... but the full set isn't available on UK platforms.

The band was so good, wasn't it? Like you said, it really gives the performance an extra energy and made it even more of a special moment. Their voices were indeed sublime  I was also impressed by the amount of choreo and movement they had going on.
