"Easy On Me" is still new enough that it's pretty fair they could just be waiting to gauge reaction at the moment to work out what to go with.

It is, I imagine R1/2 will instant A List the next single on their playlists next week as the album is on there currently and think R1 have removed ‘Easy On Me’ which for me seemed quite drastic!

The numbers are in and they are underwhelming in the most shocking way possible. A leaker from ATRL said that yesterday but no one believed him... only EOM over 1M. Jesus.

The album is too long (songs length) and too good and not popish for the streaming era. Sad.

Dramatic much? :D She still has her entire album in the highest positions possible.

She has the top 12 in both the U.K. and US and the whole album is top 20 on the global chart. Very good start although the numbers are a little lower than I thought they’d be but I have a feeling it’ll hold better during the coming days. Equals didn’t even manage the full top end of the chart upon release so it’s doing better in comparison . The streaming record might be safe though
Oh my god looks a good bet to be her highest charting track. I wonder how it’ll look with streams combined from Amazon music and Apple.
I'm surprised that she has only 7 songs in top ten globally on Spotify considering how big global star she is! The album isn't very commercial though. I can see it a similar case than Happier Than Ever.

Ok there are first numbers from her sales… and yay you all gonna say I’m dramatic but she did 86k physical sales and 26k digital. 300K is not happening. It’s official that no one can sell anymore. Please save the words on me being dramatic or over the top. This is mega flop for her standards sadly for me.

I wouldn’t call it a flop but it does show as you said that no one sells as much as even 5 years ago nowadays.

*waits for a debate about preorders and signed copies not being added*

LOL unlike others, really my vinyl arrived yesterday and they did right this time so I wouldn't expect a lot of missing data. :)

1 Easy on me 1,078

2 Oh My God 789

3 Strangers 759

Not bad but I was expecting so so much more

Yeah I wouldn’t call it’s flop, Adele will however be a consistent seller for several weeks though. I agree the physical market is almost dead these days. Given Adele hasn’t really been a massive streaming force I don’t think you can say it’s an underperformance, it’ll sell well over the coming weeks I’m sure.
I did think she would have 3-4 songs over a million though!

maybe naively/irrationally but I was expecting the whole album over 2 million :D just on how the single opened

sad to see people were more interested in Drake's latest than on Adele's 30

It’s more than ED managed and her previous albums was not even released onto Spotify to begin with, she is new to streaming, and she did 112k pure yesterday and that’s without vinyls which we know she does well in! The album is on track for 300k first week! She is a constant seller not a one day wonder like Abba or Ed

That first sentence was unnecessarily personal

It’s not necessarily that people were more interested in Drake than Adele. With Spotify track length comes into play massively. I spent 4 hours listening to her yesterday but that’s only 4 streams per track because most of the songs are long.
Also a reminder to people that there is no excuse to get rude or personal towards people expressing an opinion. We’re all likely to have differing takes.

Let’s not forget either that Adele has a whole itv special on Sunday night! That will boost her sales further! She did amazing yesterday

112k pure, no vinyls and no streams, her streams are way bigger than Ed’s and not being funny she sold more than Ed’s first week on the first day when you include her streams etc

That depends on the idiot in question

Those opening figures are underwhelming! I guess that's the effect of releasing an album where nearly half of the songs exceed 6 mins in an era where songs are getting shorter and shorter. Still great to see her reach all top 12 spots on both Apple and Spotify though.

Glad to see Oh My God nabbing the highest new track spot. Hopefully either I Drink Wine or Can I Get It will hold up and take the third chart entry position.
