A comedown on yesterday but she’s still got the whole album top 20 on Spotify and AM in the U.K. Glad I Drink Wine is climbing, it’s really grown on me over a few listens. Will be interesting to see how the special impacts the streaming side of this things tomorrow.

Still isn’t very clear what Adele’s 3rd charting song is gonna be, looking certain that Oh My God will definitely be her 2nd.

I know its clear now that Xmas songs won't be as big as last year, but just to show how huge they were - on the same Saturday last year there were more Xmas songs in the top 10 than there are in the top 50 this year. This year is still pretty on par with 2019 though

3.800 sales from spotify today for Adele. That would make around 7k from streams yesterday...

Adele has done it ALL WRONG. No wonder she's sending hrt flop to the new charts. She NEEDED to release Can I Get It? first and WEEKS before Easy On Me. She could have tsken on Cheesy Fad with that song, and it is FULL of life. Imagine hearing that bop on the radio and relaising it's new Adele?! Then, the week of Cheesy Fad's album or the week after, drop Easy on Me!!! Have it no.1 for a few weeks, and rhen post-album or concurrent eith the album, release the video for Oh My God!! Brits/ Grammys? Switch back to the teo bog ballads - Hold On and I Drink Sine!! 5 no.1s and a HUGR album right there. As is, it just looks to the gp as a 25 rehash.

‘Can I Get It’ is a bit like ‘Send My Love’ perfect for a post album single when the hype has died down next year. No point wasting an obvious hit as the first single as really anything she released first would of done well.

Well I wouldn't say it's subjective. Firstly some of the songs are overly long which doesn't lend itself to streaming or repeat listening. For me I see streaming as basically radio play and you have to ask yourself how many of those songs would you imagine hearing regularly on the radio?

What playlists do those dreary 6 minute songs fit on? Of course it will be popular but I think it will have a big decrease through the week as it's just not streaming friendly stuff.

Do you ever get bored of being so miserable and bashing artists that are on popular on here? I can't imagine it's fun moaning this much.

 

Maybe stop being negative and talking about things you don't like and be positive and speak highly of the artists you do love instead.

thats pure listens without playlist shennanigans

but when you convert it, that's not even 4K sales

clearly the ratio is not enough and the OCC should do something about it

I really think they should exclude playlists counts from album streams but then count the proper album streams at a higher ratio

234,000 streams means a lot of people have not bought the physical and is streaming it, but giving it 4K sales does not compensate that and is not fair imho

Not to mention that without playlists many of the high selling artists wouldnt send half of those amounts

I only listen to those plus Easy On Me oops. Guess I don't like the album that much :cheeseblock: The tracks are great, but I don't feel the need to listen more than once. My little Love is appalling too.

Shivers might well end up keeping the #2 spot officially then.
