I voted for all 5 of the songs left but I feel Like a Prayer, Billie Jean and Don't You Want Me should be the top 3, not sure about the order

then Tainted Love #4 and It's a Sin #5

So pleased PSB’s best number 1 is top 5 :D

I think I'm the only who didn't vote for all the top 5, unique taste, mi piace, me encanta! :wub:

 

However, I could have voted for It's a Sin and Don't You Want me but I'm not a fan of the other 3 songs left.

‘Billie Jean’ what a track!

'Always On My Mind' is one of my favourite cover versions :heart: as I said earlier I did think 'It's A Sin' would rank as the top PSB song here, however, I expected that out next and 'Billie Jean' to be runner-up to a 'Like A Prayer' win :o I didn't realise it was 'only' the 4th most popular in that Ultimate #1s poll though. Pop classic, enough said *.*

Billie Jean is the only one of the remaining five that I didn't vote for. It's still a good song but I prefer Thriller from that album. That's a great top 4 left now.

That’s a big step up in points from 6 to 5. That’s more for Jacko than Oasis got at #2 in the 90s rate even though there were more voters. Stronger consensus at the top in this one then.

 

I’m not generally a Jacko fan but have nothing but praise for Billie Jean.

 

I’m guessing It’s A Sin will be #4. I’d like the Human League to win; Soft Cell 2nd choice. But I certainly wouldn’t bet against Madonna.

a couple of interesting things about Billie Jean I read on Genius:

 

“Billie Jean” tells the tale of a young girl who claims to be the mother of Jackson’s alleged son. In his autobiography, Moonwalk, Jackson wrote:

There never was a real Billie Jean. The girl in the song is a composite of people my brothers have been plagued with over the years. I could never understand how these girls could say they were carrying someone’s child when it wasn’t true.

 

Producer Quincy Jones originally did not want to include “Billie Jean” on Thriller. He disliked the intro, the bass line and song’s title (feeling listeners would associate the track with tennis legend Billie Jean King). Jackson fought to keep the song on the album, and not change its title to Jones' suggestion of “Not My Lover”.
