'My Best Friend's Girl' is an absolute bop! One of my friends played it to me the other weekend when we were all getting ready to go out at Pride. I definitely prefer it to the A-side at any rate.

I have never quite understood how Just like the first time didn't make the track list. Was Mars and Venus from this era too as I think that is stronger than all the album tracks. I often wonder who makes decisions to include songs like My best friend's girl when they have more superior options.

 

I think Mars & Venus was from the Buzz era. It did feature on the US version of Buzz. That’s all I’m going off though, so I could be wrong.

Thanks guys, its always fun revisiting their old & newer albums, which is what I do as I;m writing the review instead of basing it entirely on memories as opinions do change over the years. I will do their other albums at some point & will post the reviews in their respective album threads.

I love revisiting some of the old stuff and i do think every album has album tracks that are still great.

Love’s Got a Hold on My Heart HD video is now viewable! It’s another one that’s been done really well. As well as having HD clarity it seems there’s been some colour alterations too, it’s more vivid than the original upload.

I think the water background in the close ups has been replaced entirely. Presumably it wasn't originally actual shots of the band members up against the water, but just shots of them taken elsewhere on a green screen, with a water background added later, so Chris who does the remasters must have replaced these with an all new HD, brighter water background.

 

It looks massively better than the murky green water it had before, the best remaster yet I'd say!

I don't think that's the case, I compared them and the patterns of the water are the same!

 

The HD video isn't as cropped as the original video, so the two images in each gif don't perfectly match and therefore that's why they're "jumping", but it should be clear enough to show the water patterns being the same:

I do wonder whether the more green looking sea in the original video is more accurate to the real colour, and in the HD remaster they decided to edit it to look more blue, so it looked nicer aesthetically? :lol:

I think it was more green in real life as if you check the scenes with them on the pier it is not as blue there at all.
