Even though this era didn’t give us a tour, she really gave us so much to enjoy… it’s been a very fulfilling era to experience.

Agreed! You don’t often get these lengthy eras that consistently deliver anymore so it’s been fun to follow, even more so because it’s Kylie of course! I hate the way most eras now seem to finish with the album release, tour aside.

There was so much to enjoy from the Disco era.

Disco and Golden were both lengthy eras that kept us all interested.

Ah as if it’s 2 years!

And what a chart battle it was - my bank account has only just recovered :drama:

Ya that was an exciting/stressful chart battle and it was such a great number 1 for her to get, hard to believe it's 2 years old already but it's just as good today as it was then as its such a solid album.

2 years! :o That was a very entertaining week. :kink: I had quite a lot of faith in Kylie being able to pull it off, even though I loved Little Mix too.

The drip feed of different formats (cassettes) and signed items was fun (and expensive!).

Also brilliant that Kylie achieved her "A #1 albums in 5 different decades" thing, right at the beginning of the 2020s.

It was also great in the long run that the album had some staying power. Spending its first 4 weeks in the Top 10. I hope she never experiences "2 or 3 weeks in the Top 200 chart run" (with a new album) like so many artists unfortunately do these days.

I'm the same I would hate the chart run many artists experience these days although part of me is prepared for it eventually happening. I hated the battle with Little Mix as I would have liked both albums to have been number 1 but when pitted together i was 150% behind Kylie.
BMG got it SO right that week with formats - the fanbase was whipped up into a frenzy with the chart battle and BMG had all the tricks up their sleeve and didn’t have to result to slashing prices
It does make me wonder if we will get less variants for the upcoming album as she is releasing at a quieter time of year (allegedly!)

Yeah why bother with 50K sales and 20K sales can get her another No.1?

It'll definitely be interesting to see how well her next album holds up. As you say, 'Disco' had a decent chart run for an album that relied mostly on sales but I guess how much it held up due to the Christmas market/promo opportunities can sort of be judged with the performance of the next album. I have good hopes, BMG seem good at staggering promotion across those first few weeks of release. Not that I think for a moment this next album could have one of those 1-36-71-x chart runs, but I guess '4 weeks Top 10' turning into '4 weeks Top 40' is something that could happen eventually.

Back to 'Disco', this really has solidified itself as one of my favourite Kylie albums. It's highlight after highlight for me and I was thinking the other day when I listened to my vinyl that the pacing of the album is spot on and really enhances the listening experience. The one-two punch of 'Supernova' and 'Say Something' is incredible.

Doubt there will be a shortage of formats. She produced 4 vinyls for a 25 year re-issue.

Randomly ‘Disco’ is currently the 8th most streamed album this week on Apple Music in North Macedonia

Amazing what a price reduction does - #1 vinyl bestseller and #15 overall bestseller on Amazon now :cheer:

It’s a gorgeous product too, twice as much would still be a bargain.
