What way will they be counted?

Some bundles of the Guest List Edition CD, CD/Dvd and Vinyl are still to be shipped because they are waiting for the Extended Remixes 10th Dec release date. So when they ship they will count for that week's sales I would think. Not sure if this will be 5 copies or 300 copies, not sure how many people ordered this way, but I would think a lot of people got the special cased bundle so it could be a few. Obviously the extended mixes vinyl won't count, but the other versions will

Extended must be included because otherwise it would have shown as a separate entry in the vinyl album chart last week?

Yeah I’m still not convinced in the theory that Extended Mixes counts separately in the UK. We won’t find out for certain until Monday 13th December. If it was separate in the November 19th chart then she hardly sold any copies of it via her official store, because it didn’t show up in the Top 40 vinyl chart or Top 100 physical chart.

Not true, all Extended Mixes (separate to the box set) were shipped from the official store in the November 12th release week. So many fans have it already. It’s only those who ordered it via Amazon and HMV that are having to wait until December 10th (for reasons still unknown :drama: )

If I’ve read it correctly from the OCC chart rules then the mixes album will be counted towards the original

Additional Notes

When calculating 100% and 80% rules the following are to be excluded from calculations: Alternative tracks (including remixed, extended, live or demo versions of featured tracks), Videos, EPKs and Interviews.

And I’m guessing a lot of fans ordered from the store - I’m not expecting big numbers from elsewhere.

I wonder when the Boxset ships if it will count as 1 or 2 sales as it includes both vinyl? If they are clever about it and just add the box as a separate item they will be able to count it as 2 sales.

I do not think many extended mixes sold separately from her store. I would believe most are in the box set which must have sold quite a few. There was definitely not a lot of people with the extended mixes released on 12th and I am pretty sure they didn't count towards the top 10 position that week that she got

In Australia the extended vinyl charted separately, maybe it didn't have enough sales from her store alone to get a top 40 vinyl position in the UK chart that week.

If you bought the extended mixes vinyl on its own then Amazon with free shipping was cheapest option and therefore 10th December release. It went to number 1 best seller at the time it did that.

I also read somewhere that a pure extended mix album is chart ineligible?

Anyway I like most of you are not sure, but the 10th December is definitely a date that these where held back for a reason...... I expect significant promo that week

What are you basing all of this on?

Extended Mixes was available separately via her store & included in bundles, not just as part of the (expensive) box set, and they all shipped. I saw a lot of fans posting about receiving their extended vinyl.

We don’t have any firm evidence yet whether they counted to the 12th Nov sales week or not. What I do know is that “Disco” as a chart entry that week sold 2712 vinyl copies. If Extended was separate, it would seemingly have sold less than 300 copies, which is about how many would have been required for it to chart in the physical albums chart… I personally can’t believe that it would sell so few copies.

Not sure about what would make the release chart ineligible either?

All we can do is wait and see what happens in the December 10th chart week. If Disco experiences a boost or not, either way we’ll have an answer about how Extended Mixes release is being treated by the OCC.

The boxset sold out almost immediately via her store so that would have pushed people to buying the vinyl separately if they wanted a copy.

Because in the Official Album Eligibility rule book the 100%\ 80% crossover rule excludes extended versions of the song. So they shouldn't be added together sales as the extended mixes vinyl has 0% crossover with the original album.

Anyhow let's wait and see. I saw a few people with extended mix vinyl but it certainly wasn't many. I am sure on her website the extended remix album was originally 10th December too. When you order the LP it is on pre orde everywhere, you cannot buy it on her website and have it delivered straight away you are redirected to other sellers who all have 10th Dec.

Disco will receive a boost on 10th because the box sets will ship which is probably quite a few, expensive or not....

Yes the individual Extended Mixes vinyl was originally due to be released on 10th December on her official store, but regardless of that they all shipped in the 12th November week. It sold out during the preorder.

336 copies of Extended Mixes are in people’s collections on Discogs. Obviously not all buyers of it will have a Discogs account. So it is indeed the case that many fans have it already.

#109 for Disco in the mids.

No surprise it’s out - I thought it would be lower than that today tbh!
