I’m actually shocked at the half arsed interest in the album - aside from the singles we only got 1 ‘big’ promo performance and not much else.

I love the formats and the fact they are not done on the cheap but with the lack of input at the promo stage it feels a bit like a money grab.

She looks amazing at the British Fashion Awards tonight. Stunning

Still got promo to come

Edit: kylie performed at the Awards. Sang Slow/Love To Love You Baby with some great choreography. Sounded brilliant.

A clip is on Jodie Harsh twitter account if anyone can upload.

The promotion has been extremely limited which is largely a result of COVID.

If the album received more promotion the sales of Disco would be at least 25,000 higher.

Yes it’s almost as if they’ve sold enough physical copies via her store and that’s it, limited promo slotted in around the Fashion Awards, Wine and perfume shoots, private gigs.

Makes sense I suppose, take a lot of effort to shift not many physical copies these days. Streaming revenues are obviously ok and will possibly be decent over months and years.

Incredible that a b side to Please Stay that also came with a free poster to help sell the CD single (if my memory serves me right) is so much more popular on streaming than any other of her songs bar Head….and it’s barely been promoted. That’s some return.

Santa Baby was a b side inclusion that truly paid off and is one of Kylie's best sellers with little promotion.

Disco, has missed out on alot of tv promotion and has not been toured both which attract sales.

Santa Baby is on every Xmas playlist and it's Xmas time. Therefore it's steams are high.

If Disco songs was on as many playlists it would do just as well but they don't...

Not sure Santa Baby is more popular , it's just in lots of festive playlists crested by influencers

I have to disagree with some of the promo comments. She was everywhere last year, which paid off as she got to #1 with very healthy sales (especially considering the sales climate, covid and her not amazing streaming power) and the record label surely got a nice return with all the expensive album and vinyl sets. The re-release was just a nice extra, selling some more copies and giving the fans a few new songs. No artist goes big in promo for a re-release. She did The One Show, Jonathan Ross, BBC2 radio interview and two videos, there's not a lot more to do at the moment. Obviously the private gigs is where the money is, she makes more money from one of those sets than the whole Disco campaign I'd imagine.

Well her accounts look healthy.

I think the new release will have been bough by quite a few casual fans to be honest too. Its quarter 4 near Xmas. Even 109th in the charts will sell ok.

She is out and about and has some more promo coming up.

She isn't discounting either its a full price cd, dvd and vinyl. Many of those albums above her and heavily discounted or just been streamed so if you based charts on revenue she would be higher

Did anyone win tickets to the 'event tomorrow night?

I guess it will be the usual fans that seem to always 'Randomly wins these competitions.........

I guess I just expected more with the effort that was put in with new formats, songs and videos - I thought they would try to push it past just being a 1 week wonder, they’ve treated it the same as the SBIT re-issue.

Im pleased we have it and the vinyl variants are perfection but I feel there is more life to it than 10-71-out.

Totally agree…three interesting collaborations and attractive new formats…in addition to quality singles from the original Disco…they need to get the Gloria video out now as physical sales will plummet to negligible in January.

I’m hoping that we see the 2 CD selling for around £6 in January with some price cuts on the other formats too to give it a boost.

the 2 cd is sure to get a price reduction but i would assume there is still plenty of the original disco lying around.
