So satisfying seeing Taylor Swift drop like a stone. I guess she could always find some fake signed CDs in her basement.

Well done, Adele. It's great to see REAL sales.

From the Family Fortunes quiz in Series 3 last year - looks like 7 of us are about to be proved right:

YUNGBLUD turned out to be a good shout too!

Didn't earn me any points sadly though 😂

That Silk Sonic song taking quite a tumble already down to 20 - thought that was going to be massive. Not that I'm complaining.

also surprised at so many new albums out today, thought everybody would avoid Adele

I am shocked Tailor is dropping so much. Dont worry she has time to sign another 400k CDs this week to shift around the world.

Just Carol Honey

I know, it's laughable. People last week going on about her so called amazing sales. Seems like only her limited fan base bought it

Red is still a re-recording, so sizable drop was expected. Fearless went 1-7-18 and Red could be doing around the same, with better numbers though.

Exactly. A re-recording that was classed as a new number one. We will have a real number one this week.

oh my god probably coming for a #3 debut and I Drink Wine #5 which is still decent !

The 300k thing tweet has been deleted lol.

167k are great in any case

Wow didn’t foresee Oasis getting 25k and Robert Plant near 20k this week!
I guess this Robert Plant / Alison Krauss album is the follow-up to their 2007 Raising Sand, which was quite popular I'd say

I don't want to open up a huge debate but I found Red (Taylor's Version)'s sales very suspicious.

It sold huge for a re-recording - actually sold more first week than the original. Who would buy it who already had the original? If it's her fans - why did they not buy her Fearless album or recent new albums?

Fearless (Taylor's Version) only sold 21,000 - so Red at 72,300 sold more than three times that.

Her previous original albums sold far less - Folklore - 37,000 and Evermore - 27,500.

Original version of Red - 61,800

Smacks of chart manipulation to me

Even her other original albums sold less or not much more (when sales were higher)

1989 - 90,000

Reputation - 83,600

Lover - 53,000

I would have expected her version of Red to sell less than Lover.

Seems like Abba should have had a second week at number 1

Good point hun but you are forgetting one thing- the 30k signed CDs for this release (that she most definitely signed all by hand herself oop :kink:) that her core fanbase gobbled up. That's what made her total so much higher last week.

Me neither, I thought it would do reasonably well for the current market but not anyway near 25k!

Completely agree with you. It was chart manipulation of the highest order, those fake signed CDs should of been disqualified, Abba was robbed of a genuine second week at number one, not that the Taylor Swift stans on here would agree, they're silent this week though with her dropping like a stone hahaha

Leona not even in the top 100 in the first update.

And there was me thinking her vinyl was selling decently enough for the album to re-enter.

Damn Ed Sheeran, was hoping Adele would manage the top 3. Hopefully "Oh My God" will stabilise/increase in streams and stay safe at #2. I assume "I Drink Wine" will stay as her 3rd track come Friday.

I'm hoping the ITV boost will be more so felt in tomorrow's update (if there is one) with her songs/album gaining a lot.
