They missed Red Hot Chili Peppers!

My faves from that list are Cold Water, Ice Box & Cold As Ice (surprised that only peaked at #24)

Erm, that's a bit random of them

But yeah they missed the sublime 'Snow (Hey Oh!)' by RHCP and also 'Snowden' by Doves and a handful of others but that might be because 'Snow' isn't a separate word in the title? Should still count though e.g. there's a song called 'Snowbound for Christmas' from 1957 that should definitely be included. So a bit of a pointless list if they're going to randomly exclude some songs!

Madonna - Frozen (1998) - peak #1

Elton John & Dua Lipa - Cold Heart (2021) - peak #1

Katy Perry - Hot N Cold (2008) - peak #4

Paloma Faith - Stone Cold Sober (2009) - peak #17

Adele - Cold Shoulder (2008) - peak #18

Erasure - Fingers & Thumbs (Cold Summer's Day) (1995) - peak #20

Annie Lennox - Cold (1992) - peak #26

Pretty much these. That Erasure track is one of my favourites of theirs, Katy's is a real guilty pleasure style one for me, Annie Lennox is atmospheric with a decent groove to it... and Madonna tops them all with one of her all time great singles.

Special mention to Winter by Tori Amos

I have just added a lot of songs that the OCC forgot to put in that list

Special mention to Informer by Snow, ofc haha

My Top Ten -

1 Frozen - Madonna

2 Hot & Cold - Katy Perry

3 Cold Turkey - John Lennon

4 Snow - Red Hot Chili Peppers

5 Skiing in the Snow - Wigan’s Ovation

6 Cold Shoulder - Adele

7 Stone Cold Sober - Paloma Faith

8 Snowbird - Anne Murray

9 Cold As Ice - Foreigner

10 She’s So Cold - The Rolling Stones

If we're allowing words like Snowman for having "snow" in them, how about the likes of No Good Advice?

Or one I'd vote for: How Soon Is Now

Tori Amos - Winter, easily wins :)

Life Got Cold is a good Girls Aloud song. One that completely passed me by at the time and I only discovered years later.

I still hear 'Wonderwall' when I listen to that

Yeah i'm sure the Gallaghers must have got some royalties off it.

I'm fairly sure 'Cold' by Annie Lennox (not 'Lennon' as the OCC apparently had it!) was the first UK Top 75 chart single that had not been released on vinyl since the format became dominant in the late 1950s. Just cassette and CD.

Nice bit of trivia, thanks! Although according to Wiki, Top 40 not Top 75:

"It was the first single to chart in the UK Top 40 without being released on vinyl."

:)

My favourites are:

1. Cold Rock A Party

2. Ice Box

3. Cold Shoulder

4. Frozen

I like Baby, It's Cold Outside as well. Most of them I don't even know.

I can't even remember the Girls Aloud song from the title, but I do remember them having a song that sounded like Wonderwall so I probably do know it.
