Posted December 29, 20213 yr 2021 has been a very exciting year for Sugababes fans with the re-release of One Touch and 2022 seems to give us even more. We know they have some festival slots coming up, but surely that cannot be the only thing, so I thought it would be a nice idea to make some predictions for the new year. What do you think 2022 will bring us? New music? A tour? A comeback of 4.0? Let's discuss!
December 29, 20213 yr They're doing Mighty Hoopla in June so I'm guessing at least a new single by then (hopefully)
December 30, 20213 yr There’s less than zero chance of a 4.0 comeback. No one cared when the babes were at the height of their relevance, even less people would care now (and all of them should be committed) It’s hard to say what’s coming. I assume we are getting new music because they’re on headliner slots and they can’t just give us a bunch of 2.0 material, they’ll need to do something of their own and I can’t see them breaking out Promises at mighty hoopla. I am hoping for a Q1 release. And keeping my fingers crossed for it, and a new album. God I hope it finally arrives. At this point I would gladly take an official release of polished up sacred three era tracks
December 30, 20213 yr Probably a new single by 1.0 that flops and they do the festival circuit eventually becoming one of those acts that is in small print on random festival posters with no hope of being an act that actively releases music as it wont make money.

It gets released, goes top ten and then falls off the charts. They do live festivals, support slots and some touring in 2023 maybe.
December 31, 20213 yr Yeah but touring is where the actual money is these days. They Defo have potential to do what steps are doing on a slightly smaller scale. Drop an album that fans will get into the top 20 before it f***s off without a trace, and then they do a tour and some fesitval appearances. They’ll release new stuff to keep people coming to see them on tour to see the new songs. They’ve said before they just like to make music together and to perform. So I don’t think that anyone realistically has hope of some multiplatinum worldwide mega hit. (As nice as that would be)
January 3, 20223 yr Really hoping for a Summer tour around the Mighty Hoopla period, although it's when I go on holiday so hoping the tour is afterwards.
January 4, 20223 yr Really hoping for a Summer tour around the Mighty Hoopla period, although it's when I go on holiday so hoping the tour is afterwards. I think they might be too late to schedule a tour as there's a lot of artists who are in line to venues. I know they mentioned that Siobhan was a bit anxious about making plans during co-vid, but I assume that was because she was pregnant.
May 9, 20223 yr A steps like reality show talking about their reunion , music, and behind the scenes of their new album (I can dream)
May 12, 20223 yr About you is going to be officially performed, but with a new spin on it (not sure what that means).
May 13, 20223 yr The festival circuit this summer will be the only thing we'll get from them this year — no new music in 2022.
May 13, 20223 yr The festival circuit this summer will be the only thing we'll get from them this year — no new music in 2022. :( Unfortunately, you might be right. A lot of other acts in their position start off by doing live shows without new material.
May 13, 20223 yr I hope they might use the shows to then drop something in Q3 but I’m not holding my breath 😩 It’s a tough life being a Sugababes fan
