Posted December 31, 20213 yr Getting the thread up nice and early! so we don't disappear off the forum chart radar 14 new queens will debut next Friday on WOWPresentsPlus, or on air on VH1 in America. This will be a NON-SPOILER thread, spoiler discussion should go in this thread please! As such, info is thin on the ground right now as to what format the season opener will take. Will it be a divided debut like season 12 and 13, or will we go back to something more traditional? Will we have an elimination? What are your predix and speculations?
January 1, 20223 yr hope its a split non-elimination start like s12! though i do really enjoy seeing all of the queens enter the werkwoom at once, it's nice to be able to focus on just 7 queens for the first episodes and get to know them better.
January 1, 20223 yr I think the Season 12/13 premieres were perfect (other than the pointless Pork Chop episode prolonging S13), I like having less queens in the premiere so it feels like everyone gets a shot at airtime but I don't like there being eliminations before they all come together. I like that everyone would get a shot at two types of challenge, and then someone goes home.
January 3, 20223 yr Author Yes, I like the first one being a non-elim now too. They can put that porkchop episode in the sea though!
January 3, 20223 yr I think optimal would be two premiere Rumixes and a Ball for the 3rd episode, that way everyone has had a shot at two very different signature challenges and you get the big challenge of a Ball early on. I like that we seem to have moved away from unconventional design for the first episode as I feel like that's always a little unfair right off the bat.

January 6, 20223 yr June Jambalaya screams first out to me! Depends what the challenge is though I guess. Willow's look was a bit underwhelming perhaps but that is in the edit and was deliberate chosen to be that way rather than just being disappointing no matter how you look at it. I get the impression she has more to show and could easily be written as an underdog. Kerri's look was stunning and Kornbread and Alyssa had great looks too upon entrance!
January 6, 20223 yr I think the complete opposite of Willow, I think she’s a finalist in the making. The only other two I’m getting finalist vibes from are Kornbread and Lady Camden.
January 6, 20223 yr I love Willow's entrance look, she's the only one who stood out as having a unique entrance look and immediately showed what she's about and what her style would be. Maybe I'm just hyped becasue she's Yvie's sister but so far she's shown she seems to have the same wacky sense of humour and if she approaches runways like Yvie then I'm very excited to see what she brings!

This was my final predicted order: Bosco Kornbread Lady Camden Angeria Vanmichaels Alyssa Hunter Willow Pill Deja Skye Kerri Colby Maddy Morphosis June Jambalaya Orion Story Jorgeous Daya Betty Jasmine Kennedie I haven't watched the preview yet so watch this be disproven immediately :') I really think Kerri Colby could go either way, I'm just thrown by her wearing the same look for promo and reveal. I'm torn on why they cast Maddy as well - surely a token casting should be a cert for top 4 for the Controversy?
January 6, 20223 yr Nothing I've seen of Kerri convinces me she won't be a turn a look and nothing else queen but maybe that's just me stereotyping a pretty girl unfairly

January 6, 20223 yr Had a bit of drag race burn out recently, but excited for Season 14! I'm not sure what to make of the queens yet, they all seem pretty strong based on the promo/interviews etc.
January 7, 20223 yr It seems like they've put a lot of the early fan favourites in this first group of queens - Kerri, Kornbread, Bosco and Willow are probably the 4 I've seen the most love for so far If someone is going home each premier I can't really see it not being Orion first unless she really surprises me
January 7, 20223 yr I’m really excited for Lady Camden, Jorgeous and Angeria so i’m quite glad my favourites have been spread out over the 2 premieres with Kerri and Kornbread on tomorrows premiere
