Y&Y could still feasibly get to #1 because of the label gaming the system by chucking their greatest hits on at the end for streaming points, although it depends on how well Meat Loaf holds up during the week. Also worth noting Bat Out Of Hell is disadvantaged for streaming because it only has 7 tracks on it (well 8 unique tracks in the expanded edition, though the 8th track won't be getting many streams, nor the 9th track which is just a live version of BOOH).

Y&Y should also have some decent sales. We'll see on Monday.

Yeah, I was surprised by that too but it's because that's the one that's in his top five on Spotify. The album version is 12 minutes long so it's not very streaming-friendly. There is a 5 and a half minute radio edit but you have to search for that.

Had a feeling 'Bat Out Of Hell' might have a shot at #1 on Spotify today judging by its Apple performance and the current low numbers for the #1 spot, very pleased to see it :wub: Wow at him taking 3 of the top 4, obviously not expecting these to hold up super well all week but hopefully this is good enough to secure him having 3 top 40 entries this week. And heavily rooting for him to bop Years & Years for the #1 album but still not expecting that to happen.

His death was announced a couple of hours after the usual New Music Friday new releases so I don't think so (if anything the US chart's timezone was slightly more favourable for his numbers today than the UK one).

Great to see meatloaf doing good on streaming and hopefully the top end songs will hold up for a few days at the least as the same songs are doing well on paid for sales aswell which should see some of his singles make a decent chart return.

Absolutely so surprised by the streaming numbers, I'm more a fan of the old chart days etc, but it's been great to see this for Meat Loaf, but even as a fan I sometimes forget how popular he was down the years.
