Club Bizarre #18 - Jungle, Garage and Drum & Bass

 

Hello and welcome to the 18th edition of Club Bizarre, and thanks to the 22 people who entered a song matching the Jungle, Garage and D&B theme.

 

To with the theme, this contest will be brought to you live from the jungle. Each participant has been randomly allocated both an alias who they will be represented by and a position in the running order. Each alias is an animal or creature which you might find in a jungle*

THE RULES

• Vote for 10 songs using the points system 12, 10, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 with 12 points being awarded to your favourite song
• PM your votes to me, RabbitFurCoat.
• Anyone is free to vote, even if you have not submitted an entry.
• Do not vote for your own entry.
• Non-voters will receive a 33.3% reduction.
• This contest is anonymous, please refrain from revealing your entry until the results have been announced.
• The deadline is Monday, January 31st 2022 at 23:59 (GMT).

Results will likely follow the following evening on Tuesday 1st February.

 

*Some artistic licence may have been required on some of these given the site I was using. Many more entries and I'd have had to start representing people with items you might find in someone's garage!

So it was Elephant who got in there first with my original entry :kink:

Very excited for this, really like the multi-genre contests!

 

I basically had a pre-contest to decide on my eventual entry so I'm fully in the mood for songs of this ilk.

Loving the artwork Mark!

 

Shame that Cutty Rank's “Limb by Limb [DJ SS Remix]” didn't appear but I'm sure Father Stack would still approve of this list nonetheless, hehe. Will look forward to listening to this - and as Father Ted said: 'You wouldn't find Hitler playing jungle music at three o'clock in the morning.' :lol:

I see Frog took my artist...I hope the song is as good as Heterize!!!

omg all those animals, my favourite theme already :wub: Recognise a few of these artists but no songs!

Will try and do a listenthrough next week some time

woah, finally there's more than 1 song that I know!

will try to do my best and get even with that now instead of skipping tracks after 30 seconds and passing out in a hurry in an hour before the deadline

I was also a victim of Elephant - I confirmed a different song by Sully ('Solitaire'), it's my fault for leaving it so late to try confirming it as it's actually a song I've known for years oops. I don't think I've ever seen Sully mentioned on BuzzJack before so quite a wild coincidence that 3 people then tried to confirm him here in the space of one day :lol:

 

A few artists here that I've loved other songs from (mostly from BJSC) so looking forward to seeing what else they have up their sleeves!

Just from playing the 30 second spotify previews there, it sounds like a great contest!

ok, I did it.

All of a sudden it turned out that I don't like Jungle and also old-sounded DnB that much, anyway there were quite a lot of nice tracks I mentioned in my top 10. Two or three tracks missed the cut.
