January 21, 20224 yr Author And finally we have a much-needed clearout and a spate of new entries (even if I haven't heard of half of them!) Brilliant to see Bastille back on the playlist for the first time since 'Joy' in 2019 (!!) and great to see the wonderful Griff x Sigrid added so quickly too, really hoping that smashes! (it won't though) I know how much R1 love Foals but they do they really need 11 weeks on the playlist?
January 21, 20224 yr I wish we could get this many entries every week! Yay for Griff + Sigrid and Anish Kumar. Also nice to see Bastille can still get support, although I'm kinda out of touch with them these days.

January 21, 20224 yr Not sure why Still Sleepless, No Love and Wake Me Up continue to be A List, I know it's not all about chart success but I think their time has been and gone now!
January 21, 20224 yr I wonder if they're still compensating for the week between Christmas and New Year they were unable to play the tracks. Anyways, this is a great little update this week. Wilkinson and Griff/Sigrid are current faves!

January 22, 20224 yr Happy to see 'Sacrifice' moved to the A-List in its second week and 'Peru' also moving up there. And nice to have a C-List clearout although not really the best/most interesting batch of songs at least from the ones I've heard (I am interested to hear the Griff/Sigrid song given the glowing reception it's got on BuzzJack, I do usually get behind these kind of universally BuzzAcclaimed pop songs, but without that context the idea of a collab between Griff and Sigrid doesn't instantly strike me as something I'd stan lol). That Emmy Meli song is pretty awful in particular. I don't know why Luude hasn't been added, R1 usually love drum and bass. Probably because of the sample if they do end up blanking it.

It sounds like they might've removed 'I Hate You' instead which has only been played once at the end of Matt and Mollie's show yesterday.

Yeah you're definitely right there, Taylor is a joint most played track this week so far. SZA has had 3 plays (though that could include evenings).

January 27, 20224 yr Long time lurker on here thought I’d finally get involved. I agree with the above that ‘All Too Well’ is still on the playlist and I’m pretty sure it’s the ArrDee track that’s been removed. Also, I can’t see Radio 1 snubbing ‘Down Under’ and would expect it to be added tomorrow.
