October 5, 20222 yr Kate Bush in the EOY top 5 would be fantastic. It also looks like Glass Animals will improve on last year's #8, as I think LF System have too much ground to make up to catch them but hope they make the top 10 and Sam Fender stays there. It now looks fairly certain Perfect won't make the official Top 100 all year and will be by far the highest placed song in an EOY to do so.

October 5, 20222 yr Its streams have generally been increasing every year. Before 2022 it had never cleared 1 million in a week on Spotify but it's done so 9 times this year. OK, i stand corrected it probably is a real increase.... Of course it is the album market that's really going down the tubes as the majority of 'sales' come from double-dipped (or even triple-dipped for GH albums) streams (counting for both the singles and albums chart - albleit at different ratios) so the real size of the music market is single 'sales' + actual sales of albums.
