February 11, 20224 yr Lots of newies around the lower ends this week! Having said that, I'm not sure how I feel about them releasing yet another album from an artist who has passed away.

He gets a full verse in, melody and all, then pauses. “Songs are weird things,” he says. “How so?” an interviewer asks. “They just come and go,” Sheeran says, smiling. “And they never give you any warning.” For Sheeran, they seem to come pretty reliably. Born in 1991 in Halifax, England, he started out gigging on the UK pub circuit before releasing his first studio album, +, in 2011, and has since become one of the most unstoppable singer-songwriters in music, forging a light blend of folk, pop, hip-hop and dance that feels slick but lived-in, intimate but universal. Whether on his own (“Sing”, “The A Team”, “Shape of You”, “Perfect”) or in collaboration with artists from Taylor Swift to Eminem to Justin Bieber, Sheeran has a unique ability to strike a chord that feels both bittersweet and redemptive, good-natured and genuine: the hopeless romantic who convinces you he might just be right. In 2017, he was made a Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire, touching Prince Charles on the arm while shaking his hand—a breach of royal protocol, and an appealingly human one at that. - Apple Music Top 100 Chart History 2011 03 The A Team -1- MILLION SELLER 2011 35 Hush Little Baby (Wretch 32 feat. February 11, 20224 yr Author 34 | 29 | 2nd week Charli XCX featuring Rina Sawayama Beg For You 3rd single from CRASH Released: 28th January 2022 Label: Asylum Records UK Chart Statistics NE (10/02/2022) | 29-34 Sales: 10k+ Certification: - Status: Standard Chart Ratio 03 Sales 55 Audio Streaming __ Video Streaming Video h69otAKumSg Biography Whether she’s penning defiantly joyous singles like “I Love It” or exploring her darker side, Charli XCX is proof that you don’t need to stay in one lane to become a massive success. Born Charlotte Aitchison in 1992 in Cambridge, England, to Scottish and Gujarati Indian parents, Charli took up songwriting at 14, lifting her stage name from her instant messenger handle. On the strength of her MySpace uploads and performances at London raves, she landed a record deal at 18, released the modestly successful darkwave cuts “Stay Away” and “Nuclear Seasons”, then hit the big time with 2012’s kiss-off anthem “I Love It”. Originally scrapped from her own album for being too poppy, the beat-pounding re-recording by Swedish duo Icona Pop quickly became a worldwide dance-floor favourite. Her goth-tinged debut album, 2013’s True Romance, and tracks like the psychedelic, Gold Panda-sampling "You (Ha Ha Ha)” soon positioned Charli as the missing link between Grimes’ freak scene, Lorde’s dark melodies, and Carly Rae Jepsen’s sweetness. Never one to repeat herself, she’s built a track record as a prolific songwriter and collaborator, penning hits for Iggy Azalea (“Fancy”) and Selena Gomez (“Same Old Love”) and working with the likes of Lil Yachty, David Guetta and BTS. She even followed up the 2019 eclectic, star-studded Charli with 2020’s intimate how i'm feeling now, an album written with fan input during her six-week pandemic quarantine. One thing is clear: Charli XCX’s creative drive and willingness to take risks has made her one of the most unique, enthralling artists of her era. - Apple Music Top 100 Chart History Charli XCX 2013 01 I Love It (Icona Pop feat. February 11, 20224 yr They're hungry for money. Sad thing is, if there's endless demand for it they're not exactly gonna stop. It's a real vicious cycle of ghoulish greed.
February 11, 20224 yr Author I hope Beg for You can climb back up in the coming weeks, fast becoming one of my absolute fave Charli tracks
February 11, 20224 yr Author 33 | 25 | 2nd week Central Cee Cold Shoulder 3rd single from 23 Released: 28th January 2022 Label: Central Cee Chart Statistics NE (10/02/2022) | 25-33 Sales: 10k+ Certification: - Status: Standard Chart Ratio __ Sales 43 Audio Streaming 06 Video Streaming Video 8efu1VaDk0c Biography Shepherd's Bush-based Central Cee made his first steps in music toward the end of the 2010s, debuting with 2017's Auto-Tune-laced "Over You." His early career was characterized by the D-Block Europe-esque melodic trap of the era, with Cee opting for bouncy instrumentals and Auto-Tune-driven melodies on tracks like "TRANSITION" and "JUGG." However, in 2020 the rapper found himself drawn to a different style entirely -- U.K. drill. Kicking off the year with the guitar-laden "Day in the Life," Cee's skating flows proved a natural match for the genre's faster-paced sonics, which he continued to develop with the gritty "Molly" and a bold showing on Kenny Allstar's Mad About Bars. All prior successes were eclipsed in October of that year, though, when Cee released his breakout hit, "Loading." Landing at number 19 on the U.K. charts, the track secured the rapper his first Top 40 hit with its inventive drill production, active flows, and a magnetic performance on the mic. This success followed him into early 2021: January's "Pinging (6 Figures)" offered a more traditional take on drill, while February's "Commitment Issues" secured Cee a number nine spot on the U.K. charts. His debut mixtape, Wild West, arrived that March. Debuting at number two in the U.K., the tape expanded Cee's vivid drill sound with forward-thinking production and a wider range of narratives. - Apple Music Top 100 Chart History 2020 19 Loading -2- 2021 44 Pinging (6 Figures) -3- 2021 09 Commitment Issues -4- 2021 44 Day In The Life -1- 2021 16 6 For 6 -5- 2021 62 The Great Escape (Blanco & Central Cee) 2021 17 Meant To Be (Stay Flee Get Lizzy, Fredo & Central Cee) 2021 34 Little Bit Of This -NAS- 2021 04 Obsessed With You -1- 2021 06 Overseas (D-Block Europe feat.
