Like others have said,, this is a pretty good album. Some great bops and many tracks are just as strong as the singles. The only negative thing I would say is the tracks feel quite short and could have been longer. Bring on the deluxe edition!

Early contender for AOTY already! such an incredible album! packed to the top with bops on bops on bops! not a single bad song on it!!!

Preliminary rate, overall a very consistent album upon my first few listens. I need more time to digest the new tracks.

Sleepwalker stands out, but I hate the instrumental piece. One Of Us was close to a 9 - but I hate the “whaana-dew” over and over.

Ghost isn’t quite all the way there is it.

I can’t unhear that weird Cadbury advert with the dancing eyebrows when I listen to ‘Turn Off The Lights’… help :lol:

I love this album though! Her debut was good but this is just fantastic. Not one dud. If fact, every track has gone into my personal playlist. What a queen :wub:

(Just using your comment as an example not criticising you btw) i know MY&MH is a huge bop and should be on physicals but i just dont think it would work if it was added to D&D cos its not part of the era and it seems like ava is going for a cohesive vibe w this one so although it would be nice for MH&MH to be on a physical, i hope she doesnt add it as a deluxe/bonus to D&D

I may be optimistic here but I was thinking it would go top ten just based off how low in general sales are. (This is a UK prediction. The UK is amongst Ava’s biggest markets isn’t it?)

 

Sam Smith will more than likely easily get #1 but she does seem to have a bit of a fanbase who’ll pick up a physical of this in week one mixed with streaming which is on the ok side not necessarily terrible but better than some acts who’ve released so far this year. Im remaining optimistic that she’ll debut somewhere between the 7-10 region next week. How it does after that is different though but I hope she can get a good debut.

 

Mabel's album last year was in a similar position to ava, debut was a big era with big singles but nothing from album 2 was a hit. on BJ most predicted low top 10 and it ended at #2! I'm not getting my hopes up but i hope for something similar! I know #1 is out of the question but i hope it can go top 5! ill be happy with top 10 though

This really is just wall to wall bangers. Nothing too inventive or unique but it really doesn't seem like she was trying to reinvent the wheel with this album, just deliver some fun 00s style bops and she completely succeeded!! Weapons and Dancing's Done remain my faves overall though

It isn't on any of her physicals, however it was added onto the album as Track 1 on iTunes etc so it's not a streaming exclusive! It's a pity that Heaven & Hell wasn't reissued physically to include it, at least on a CD if not on vinyl.

This is not a *great* album, but it's the album I've been waiting for FOR YEARS. 😍😍😍

 

Why can't Ava be massive?! She's so refreshingly fun in comparison to most of today's pop. 😭😭😭

Great to see that a deluxe version should be coming soon.

 

A rock song sounds interesting, but I guess it didn’t fit the cohesion of the standard album.

Really enjoying the album - bop after bop after bop. I hope it can at least get a decent debut position. Shame none of the singles thus far have done much. Hopefully something on the album will take off at some point.

Kicked off at Amazon because Prime Delivery said Monday?!?! would be the earliest they could deliver it. It’ll be here this afternoon.

Only listened through once so far, but SO GOOD :cheeseblock: seems like all the album tracks are even better than the pre-release singles!!?

The album tracks got only 120-200k streams on Spotify on Friday. The physical sales will carry this on week 1.

The drive from my exs house to my new apartment is exactly the length of this album, hauling endless boxes and furniture down the M25 has never been more tolerable.

 

There isn't one song I dislike, 'One of Us' finally clicked with me and 'Dancing's Done' has become my favourite. Probably now I'd say the weakest (which I still bop and sing along to) is 'Hold Up (Wait A Minute)'. The verses of 'Turn Off The Lights' have become a highlight too.

Dancing's Done became my favourite pre-release, and its still up there! I'm working on a ranking but ATM i think its between DD & Sleepwalker for myfave!
