Reading through this thread makes me think Baga is definitely responsible for most of the bad things happening in the world right now and therefore her snatch game wasn’t actually the best in snatch game herstory.

The All Star curse of odd number seasons being a little lacklustre is transferring to UK v The World

Imagine Alaska and Katya being eliminated this early in All Stars 2 and the final being Phi Phi, Ginger and Roxxxy.

Cursed!

If I do a "fixing" thread of this season, I think most of the problems will be fixed with a lipsync for your life format! The funny thing about the toxic Jimbo stans making Pangina's elim about Jimbo is, even if it was normal rules, Jimbo would have still gone episode 3. Whether you put her in the bottom with Juju or Baga, she would lose a lipsync, and she was hardly going to win a finale lipsync either. But of course the judges can indulge in some riggory for poor robbed Jimbo that would be fine!

See that one is tough because if the judging was genuinely fair, one of Alaska or Katya would have had to go in the Rusical although at least they had the return twist and they could have just brought whichever back so it's not so bad and they would have both made the final.

Thought this week's Roscoe's was pretty good and fixed some of my issues with the episode:

I won't summarise the whole thing, but key points:

  • Blu took back everything she said re cancel culture and said that it was filmed a while ago, they learnt a lot since that time and even from that conversation, and that she felt uncomfortable watching it back.
  • Blu says that she explicitly chose to eliminate Pangina because she was competition, and because that's what she thought Pangina had done the week before. She had planned to eliminate Juju but changed her mind when she got to the podium because she was feeling that she'd been fading into the background on this and her original season and wanted to do something that wasn't a default choice.
  • Baga was apparently hard to read during the season and none of them ever knew what she was thinking or if she was serious or not
  • Jujubee openly admitted to not putting in a lot of effort this season and Mo actually respected that because there was no prize. Apparently she said something like "I could have tried harder but I just didn't"
  • Cheryl makes a great speech about using their platforms positively but also for escapism, and listening in order to learn. The host gives her a RuPeter badge and she gets a round of applause

Some interesting other notes: Jimbo uses they/them pronouns (the host didn't know but Mo did), apparently Jimbo did a deliberate jokey roll or fall on the runway during episode 1 or 2 which might have led to the neck injury, Mo and Blu deliberately played up a fight for the cameras but it was cut out, some things that both Blu and Mo brought with them were taken off them for breaking their baggage allowance limit including some of Blu's shoes and her Switch!

This show has really turned into a joke. I don't believe for one second Blu herself picked Pangina, surely the producers have had a big part in this and it just doesn't make any sense. The two best queens are gone and none of the five left even deserve to win. Janey was clearly the worst of the bunch this week and I don't understand why they are trying to make her happen.

The cancel culture chat was cringeworthy to watch as well. Obviously Tory Chipz was problematic as always (I honestly don't believe she has changed a bit since her 'vote Theresa May' piece) and Janey is the most obvious example of a Dutch white gay who is ignorant and only cares about "diversity" when it involves gay or queer themes. Blu saying she takes everything back now because it was filmed ages ago is also a bit strange, it was a year ago, not five years ago. Sure people grow and learn, absolutely. But after everything that has happened in 2020 and you still don't realise this, until the only black queen steps up and says something is very telling.

To end on a positive, Clara Amfo was a joy to watch as judge and nice to see them pushing an Alexandra Burke song.
