We Don't Talk About Bruno should remain at #1 for a seventh week on the singles chart, while Florence + The Machine returns with new track King. Other new releases include Becky Hill & Galantis' Run and Mura Masa/Lil Uzi Vert/PinkPantheress/Shygirl with bbycakes plus tracks from Kygo/DNCE, Tyga/Doja Cat, ROSALÍA, Cavetown and OneRepublic

Contenders for the #1 album include Central Cee's latest mixtape 23, Tears For Fears' return after 18 years with The Tipping Point and Avril Lavigne's seventh album Love Sux. There's also new releases from Gang of Youths, Johnny Marr, Robert Glasper, Half Man Half Biscuit, Beth Hart and Scorpions

Breakdown of the week

- Saturday: Some information may be posted on social media but it is likely to be missing most streaming data and is unrepresentative.

- Sunday: Official First Look Chart on Radio 1 from 6-7pm. Please do not post spoilers on the forum in advance as this ruins the countdown for any listeners.

- Monday: OCC Top 100 from 5:45pm

- Tuesday: Top 40 update as and when we receive them with requests, this is NOT 100% guaranteed however. The OCC may publish sales flashes of their own accord but likewise, this is not guaranteed. Twitter and social media is your friend for today. Please post any information you find with a source. Do not nag for updates, we will post a top 40 update if we receive one.

- Wednesday: Top 40 update from Music Week from 5:45, and potential top 5 sales but this is not guaranteed.

- Thursday: See Tuesday.

Other notes (please read)

- You may make requests Tuesday to Thursday but outside the top 40, specific positions will not be revealed (unless deemed necessary by a mod).

- Please do not demand a midweek update, one will be posted as and when we receive the information. Patience is a virtue.

- Sales information will be given out as deemed necessary by a moderator, please bear this in mind when making requests. Most requests for sales will be ignored. Any chart requests between No. 41 to 100 will not be answered after Monday's update.

- To keep everyone in the loop of all chart action, please refer to the iTunes and Spotify threads.

Hope Avril can get the #1 album over Central Cee, and maybe Bite Me can re-enter the singles!
I hope Avril can get to #1 although I'm guessing there'll be high demand for Tears For Fears with their big comeback.
Yeah that wouldn't surprise me. So Central Cee vs Avril for #2? Or am I completely over-estimating how well Avril will do? I know her last album only made #10 but I feel like this one will maybe be a little better received?

Edited by Mangø

TFF will be #1 on albums by far, maybe with 20k or so.

Yes I’m thinking Sales will be good for Tears For Fears as well, it is 17 years since last Studio Album so hard to judge on Sales but they have really prepared for this comeback. Reviews are positive and also they are ticking the multiple releases box as well!

Album chart just wired got number 1 1st week and 2nd week gone out top 100 or just hang on last Ed Sheeran Adele or weeknd

Edited by Dj Cheeky Magpie

Hoping Tears For Fears gets number 1, its a really good album and would be well deserved!

I'll believe it when I see it re: Tears For Fears pulling those kind of numbers, what exactly am I missing that allegedly makes this so much more notable of a comeback than their last album was? That one was also a comeback after 10 years and it missed the top 40 entirely. As did the album before that. Their last top 40 album was in 1993! (Obviously not suggesting this album will miss the top 40 as well but them coming back with a #1 album after two albums that missed the top 40 would surely be a fairly unique feat).

I'm standing by my prediction that Central Cee will be #1. Avril's last album did 5.8k first week so I doubt she'll be contending for anything more than low top 5 even if she does improve her first week sales a bit.

I think the difference between the new Tears for Fears album and the one from 10 years ago is the massive R2 support they got this time

so if that translates into sales they could be #1

I'm not sure if they will be #1, that's a big ask cos don't think they have the crazy fanbase to buy 5 different colour variants or any bundles

but I reckon they will be closer to #1 than to #40

Well, their initial downfall was because Curtis Smith left the group and even though he was back for the last album 18 (!) years ago, that was released on an independent label that didn't have the backing that their current label has. Plus I don't think the nostalgia factor had properly kicked in yet for them at that point.

It also debuted at #1 on iTunes albums on Friday, I know it's low sales, but it's a good indicator of how albums are gonna perform overall

Moreover, I don't think Central See is doing that well on streams

They’ve been doing signings too, not sure if they did last time, but there’s been a lot of buzz around the album. I can’t seem to go an hour without hearing about them.

I’d imagine it will be No.2 at worst, depends how the streams for Central Cee tally up, and if it’s close he might go for a sales promo push too.

Top 20 singles look like another week new music struggle get in I be glad half songs top 20 on acr

Hope Joseph got nice acr update for us soon
