Lol I’m looking forward to it for sure but was Walford ever ‘home’ for Cindy? I have recently rewatched her entire stint and she was never happy!

Cindy was always someone who though the grass was greener on the other side and i have no doubt history will repeat itself this time around but it doesnt for me take away from what a great charactor she is. In a way its a shame its Ian she is lamped with as to be fair if stuck with Ian the grass would be greener on the other side :o

Surprise reappearance from the Beales this week then as it was removed from any spoilers that came out! Peter already back in Walford. Tomorrow's Part 1 is already on iPlayer, seems they've stuck to the normal scheduling for digital release despite the athletics.

Agreed that the ‘Cindy is coming home’ tagline doesn’t quite work. It was perfect for Kathy, but not so much for Cindy. I expected something along the lines of ‘the bitch is back’ but obviously more appropriately worded. Feels a little odd from an atmosphere point of view that she returns during the day but I’m glad it seems the bulk of the meaty scenes (like reuniting with George and her daughters) is going to be set at night. There’s something about EastEnders scenes set at night that really heightens the drama.

I’m sick to death of the Theo storyline and how everyone is acting so uncharacteristically thick. Stacey managed to figure out the affairs of Sharon/Dennis and Patrick/Pat and that Linda was raped by Dean but she can’t detect that this strange man who has a crush on her and is spending an unreasonable amount of time in her home and is always there immediately after she gets strange signs from her stalker, is in fact her stalker. It’s a farce of a storyline and has pushed Lily’s pregnancy to the background which should be the focus of the Slater drama.

I can't deal with Theo deciding upon himself to change the locks to Stacey's house and nobody questioning how grossly inappropriate that is.

The whole Theo storyline is kinda sh!te though really. It’s definitely the weakest part of the show at the moment and makes Stacey look beyond stupid for not suspecting him at all.

That’s what’s getting me with this. Stacey has never been portrayed as some sort of gullible idiot so I’m not sure why she’s started behaving that way now. Theo is very obviously creepy to the point I think he’s been miscast. I feel maybe if he was played by a bit of a ladies man/heart throb type then it may have been easier to see why Stacey just gives in to every suggestion he makes but this guy seems so much less convincing in every scene where he’s trying to appear normal.

The fact Eve is dismissing Martin's concerns about Theo when she literally knows he tried to get her done by the police

On a more positive note, I'm loving Phil and Alfie's scenes together.

I don't mind the storyline but it's also not convincing, I think it would have been better to have him and stacey as a couple as tgat would help explain more why Stacey is so blind to him.

I don't think it is overly obvious for Stacey to think Theo is in contention for this. Perhaps it's being angled on the fact that he's shown nothing but "kindness" towards her ever though she's knocked him back on several occasions, he's been there for Lily tutoring her, taking her to the hospital etc. Stacey just hasn't put two and two together yet because he's always there at the right moment to pick up the pieces (of his own doing).

I just think it’s been very unfair that heavily pregnant Lily has had to spend her entire Summer holiday being tutored by a man who seems to just turn up whenever and her passive mum just allows it for plot reasons.

I’m currently watching a new Midsomer Murders where they’ve managed to squeeze in George Knight, Chrissie Watts and Aunt Babe!

EDIT: and I couldn’t place the face at first, but it’s also got Laura, Gray’s boss.

As soon as Martin said, ...or, you know, it could be HIM, this creepy guy that's always about?, that should have been the end of the storyline  That should have been enough to open their eyes!

Poor Lily, getting tutored all summer!!!

Also, Glenda Mitchell is in Hollyoaks!! She is a fight club organiser and boxing bout bet gangster in it.

When you look up mother in the dictionary, you get a massive picture of Kathy Beale x
That was one of the best episodes pf the year, Ian the creepy guy

Kathy's and Cindy's camp as hell fight was so iconic :cheeseblock:

Hopefully the rest of the week is just as brilliant as today's episode!

I hope Kathy didn't try and act morally superior over Cindy pretending to be dead!!!

She did (within reason, well it has been 25 years) but Cindy didn't let her forget her own fake death
