April 7, 20223 yr 'Feel' is my favourite Robbie song as well but I guess I didn't realise that was such a popular opinion
April 7, 20223 yr I feel like most of Robbie's best songs made #4 - aside from 'Feel' and 'Angels', there's also 'Come Undone' (which is easily one of my faves by him), 'Supreme' and 'Strong', I can't recall how those did in this. And there's also 'Rudebox' which got critically panned but which I unashamedly love  #sorrynotsorry - I know that went out way early though! Edited April 7, 20223 yr by Mangø

In 2015, it was adopted by rugby league club Hull Kingston Rovers as their official song for the Challenge Cup Final which they ended up losing 50-0. Andy Bell performed the song at one of their home matches the following year. x34icYC8zA0

April 8, 20223 yr I think I had heard that Erasure song before this but it's not one that I was super familiar with, definitely worthwhile relistening for this as it is great so cool to see it finishing this high! (I think there are a couple of songs still to come that I can say the same about, so I must just be a little out of touch on these songs rather than them not actually being that well known )
April 8, 20223 yr This is a super-strong top 10! Everything in it so far I love and/or is an all time classic
April 8, 20223 yr Surprised to see 'A Little Respect' that high but again another solid 80's hit. I do admit I knew the Wheatus cover first
April 8, 20223 yr A Little Respect is Erasure's best, same for Robbie's Feel, 2 great tracks. It's a pity Feel wasn't released prior to the album, would have been a sure #1 Out of all of Robbie's #4s my fav is Strong, with Feel being a close 2nd, Angels maybe 3rd. Edited April 8, 20223 yr by Bjork
April 9, 20223 yr A Little Respect isn’t one of my personal Erasure favourites - in fact I prefer Love To Hate You which missed the final. Amazing to see Keane up there again after Somewhere Only We Know was 3rd in the #3 contest. For me 3 of the top 4 are brilliant and the other I can live (with or) without.
April 9, 20223 yr Yeah I agree, 'A Little Respect' is a great song but 'Love To Hate You' is my favourite, I would happily have seen that in the top ten instead. Were the top ten (in no particular order) posted? Not sure if I missed it but do we know what songs are left in the top 4? Edited April 9, 20223 yr by Mangø
April 9, 20223 yr Just based on what I don’t remember having seen (apologies if one of these dropped out and I missed it!): Everybody’s Changing True Faith No Surprises With Or Without You Happy for any of the Top 3 to win. I know I’m not judging the latter fairly but unfortunately it’s another one that Fox FM just wouldn’t leave alone when I was growing up. :(
April 9, 20223 yr A little respect is a great song. Respect for its top 6 placing. I heard it a lot in the lgbt+ bars growing up in Cardiff :D
April 9, 20223 yr surprised at that top 4, all being alt/indie/rock! 3 songs are an 11/10 (No Surprises, With or without you, Blue monday), while the Keane song is a more of an 8/10 No Surprises to win please, probably will be Blue Monday
April 9, 20223 yr ^ you mean True Faith not Blue Monday... I agree it's a strong final few. In the #1 and #2 rates a few years ago, I felt those had great final 100s but their top 10s were a little hit and miss. Last year I thought the #3s had a strong final 50 and especially the top 10. This year I didn't think the quality of the final 50 was quite the same, but the top 10 has delivered again - even the songs I gave relatively low scores I can appreciate as one of the highlights from the respective artists.
April 9, 20223 yr Author 4. New Order - True Faith 1386pts Writers - Gillian Gilbert, Stephen Hague, Peter Hook, Stephen Morris, Bernard Sumner Top scores - Ansel 50, Grandwicky 50, Shoat 49, StoneDragon 49, dandy* 49 Low scores - chrissmith276 2, Alex! 3, Dj Cheeky Magpie 4 Average score - 29.5 True Faith was one of two new songs recorded for New Order's singles collection 'Substance' and was their first top 100 hit in the US. The video won the award for best video of the year at the 1988 Brits. A remix of the song reached number 9 in 1994. mfI1S0PKJR8
