Welcome to the ACR Status Updates thread! This is where you can find out the current streaming ratios of the songs in the official top 100. Please note - I don't receive information every single week, so if no thread materialises, there's no use nagging me - it means I genuinely don't know the status of any songs! Updates can also materialise at any point over the weekend but I'll always try to ensure I do it before the First Look chart update if I receive the necessary information.

If you're wondering what ACR and SCR are, here's a quick reminder:

SCR = Standard Chart Ratio. All songs enter the chart on SCR, which means their streams count at the following ratios:

100 premium streams = 1 sale (e.g. a premium Spotify account, Apple Music, Tidal, etc)

600 ad-funded streams = 1 sale (e.g. free Spotify, YouTube, etc)

ACR = Accelerated Chart Ratio. Once a song has charted for at least 10 weeks, and declines in streams for three consecutive weeks, it is put onto ACR. This means its streams are HALVED, and count at the following ratios:

200 premium streams = 1 sale

1200 ad-funded streams = 1 sale

Songs older than 3 years old are automatically on ACR.

The terminology used in this thread will be the official terminology used by the OCC. The explanations are posted in each update to assist you.

Thanks Joseph! Still find it bizarre how ‘The Family Madrigal’ has been starred out by ‘What else can I do’ at #22, considering the

former was #10 last week I find it very strange that it has dropped further than #22, surely an error it seems?

Yeah The Family Madrigal would've been #11 in yesterday's mids had it shown up properly so I'm not really sure what's happened!
Either OCC made a mistake or the record company may have asked them to go with the 4th best seller instead of the third, perhaps to give some of the other tracks a chance - don't they get another 9 weeks on the chart until ACR even though they would've been on it if they hadn't been starred out?

Correct! This is the only solution I've thought of, and without ACR, The Family Madrigal would be the third most popular still so the label could have asked to swap that with What Else Can I Do? to give that a chance. It's the only logical explanation!

What Else Can I Do? would have entered this week anyway, but with Surface Pressure starred out instead of The Family Madrigal

Indeed, though they might not have known that when requesting it perhaps. Either that or someone's flicked the wrong switch for The Family Madrigal.

Depressing that 'Overseas' is on zero weeks decline
the way sam fender would have avoided acr if he was on ant & dec takeaway last saturday, it deserves an extra three weeks top 10 tbh
Depressing that 'Overseas' is on zero weeks decline
if only it didn’t have a 0.0% increase on that fateful week  (it did have a slightly bigger increase this week mind)

How did that fart in a lift avoid ACR :naomi:
by having a sales increase :basil:
Ah yes I forgot that the record company can request for a song to be starred out. That makes sense for The Family Madrigal then (though as it happens it seems all it’s done is allowed Surface Pressure to keep charting  ).

According to the singles chart rules, the track that the label want excluded and replaced by the fourth best selling track has to be outside the top 20. That applies whether it is the third best selling track or, as the rules state "in exceptional circumstances", the second best selling track. In addition, if the track the label want excluding is the second best selling track it must also be on ACR. The OCC only published an updated set of chart rules a few weeks ago, surely they can't be ignoring them so soon?!

I'd be more surprised if they actually did follow their rules to the letter honestly.

If it is just Disney intervening to ask for 'The Family Madrigal' to be put to ACR then... I'm surprised they care enough to bother but fair I guess. I suppose it'll only be this one week that's affected by it since it would have been off to ACR next week anyway.

'Make You Smile' coming to go straight back onto ACR as soon as possible while 'Overseas' is not even close to it? :deadbanana:

Oh yeah I’d forgotten that rule. Maybe The Family Madrigal will magically reappear by Friday. :magic:

D-Block Europe feat. AJ Tracey - Make You Smile

Gunna & Future feat. Young Thug - pushin P

Sam Fender - Seventeen Going Under
