April 22Apr 22 If she half releases the album there's honestly no point she may as well just release a couple of songs as promo singles, perform the extra singles in her set and get up the pre-order for the album!A split release is literally the worst thing to do!
April 23Apr 23 The promo singles release has been so strange (in my opinion) and caused very little impact for their purpose - except for us fans of course - who have been enjoying the music but Midnight Cowboy, Fantasy and IT Girl should have been released as promo singles for the actual album and not in the context they were released. As a result I'd say FUFN has seemingly underperformed - yes 5 weeks in the top 100 is nothing to be sniffed at - but with how the rollout appears to have looked with FUFN being the single before the album before a summer of festival gigs - having a single at #99 weeks before the album is meant to be out is not a great look.I hope I'm wrong and there is some masterful plan BTS but if memory serves, FUFN was released as the most radio-friendly song and whilst that is correct - it seems to have done very little for Jade.
April 23Apr 23 FUFN might have gone top 20 had it been released alongside the album as a focus track. I wonder what is the focus track now, doubt that it's stronger than FUFN..
April 23Apr 23 I haven’t heard it but from fan reactions online I wouldn’t be surprised to see Plastic Box as the focus track. Is this the real Jade Room? Maybe they are teasing Natural Disaster?
April 23Apr 23 I guess the album needs to be out before festivals but the vinyls won't be ready by then so will come later.More evidence that they don't really care anymore.Forget You For Now (not the explicit version) could have made a better second single, with IT Girl as the third.Album pre-order with second single. Album release with third.Fantasy missed the mark and Midnight Cowboy was not needed at all apart from as an album track.

April 29Apr 29 What terrible news! I really don’t see how waiting through all the summer shows is a good plan. Also it seems clear she’s already moved on to thinking about album 2 before 1 is even out which is not a good sign.
April 29Apr 29 I guess the pre-order will be up throughout the summer and then release it when the shows are about done. But it's another delay and there's only so many songs you can release before an album.I guess some might not be on it in the end - thinking Midnight Cowboy and maybe even Fantasy could get relegated to a deluxe?Or maybe vinyl will end up with a different tracklisting (as it's apparently already finalised) and that would boost sales with die-hards buying multiple copies?
April 29Apr 29 I'm not upset / annoyed as I knew this was coming. They saw the lack of support for FUFN and decided to pull it.Her response seems genuine and I really do think she'll release a major label (RCA) album it's just when. Edited April 29Apr 29 by Mr. C. Joel
April 29Apr 29 They really should've just put it out straight after FUFN, I don't see how they think they're gonna get a hit bigger than that at this point.
April 29Apr 29 I will forever be baffled that she had a hyped, well-received Brit Awards performance — and won — with no album to buy, preorder, or even exist immediately afterwards.
April 29Apr 29 Author I saw someone post that it is ironic she trusts her label with strategy while she has been bashing that old fashioned industry in her music and it's so true. It is more likely she's been told the album will come out later and she will have to deal with it.
April 29Apr 29 Author You'd think live shows would encourage actual sales of an already released album, rather than encouraging a casual to pre-order and wait for months for musuc. Edited April 29Apr 29 by Slayer
