Hopefully the BBC Proms airing soon can push it back in the chart.

What are the chances of this being nominated for British Album of the Year at the BRITs? I assume Pop Act and Artist of the Year are both on lock (Artist is 10 nominations if we are to use the 2025 format - so I think there is plenty of room tbh)

But album... will be tough. I assume Olivia, Lily and Sam Fender are on lock. But I think the last 2 slots are a toss up between Pulp, Dave, Ed Sheeran, JADE, The Last Dinner Party... I'd probably say that's the likely order of them to be nominated too. I really hope she surprises and gets a nomination. She won't beat any of those first 3, but I'd like to think she'll get nominated!

When is the Brits cut off date though? I'd assume Ed would be a lock. They might not want to fill up the spots with pop albums though so Jade might miss out because of that. She's a contender to win for pop and artist of the year has to be surely

I would have said in September that she had a good chance, but it's unlikely now.

Sam Fender, Olivia Dean, Dave, Lily Allen, The Last Dinner Party, Pulp, and Florence + the Machine (this is especially getting more acclaim than I expected) are likely all above JADE. The reviews for Ed Sheeran were mediocre at best, and he didn't get in last time.

Oh yes Florence... Grr.

Maybe we need an album rate to revive this forum.

I’ve been fairly busy this last month or so, hence why I’ve been relatively quiet. But things have calmed down for a little bit now.

But I’m down for someone opening a rate if they want! Not sure I could commit to hosting it!
