Nice clearout this week :D

Mariah not getting a credit on 'Big Energy', does that mean they're playing the non-Mariah version?

No instant Sam Smith add is surprising to see.

I know R1 love Foals but do really need 11 weeks on the playlist?

That's amazing news for Sam Ryder! :o

I assumed it'd be one of those that'd be stuck on the C-List for it's entire run. I assume getting to the A List will depend on where we finish in Eurovision. But still, B-List rotation for our Eurovision entry is incredible to see!

great for George Ezra's newbie!!!! Also Lizzo, Latto and Sigrid

but there was no need to add the Future/Drake thing :D

surprised no Guetta/Becky/Ella yet

agree Foals's run is too much

Love the Alfie, Jodie and Vibe Chemistry adds and the rise for Charli.

Really hope they add the new Baby Queen track - it's such a great song and would be a great way to promote Heartstopper. Fingers crossed!

Sam Smith, Nathan and Ella only came out today so I doubt their playlist team had the tracks through for them to consider when they had their meeting on Tuesday.

But so did the Bieber and Future tracks? Don't labels make new tracks available earlier to radio stations so that they can consider them for playlisting?

They 100% do! Jack Saunders’ producer explained the process in his Discord server sometime last year.

I wish they’d have removed A1 x J1, Foals and Florence and added Nathan Dawe, Guetta Hill Henderson and Sam Smith

Quite surprised they’ve A-Listed Mabel considering it’s not even Top 40 and seems the type of song they’d only support if it was doing well in the charts - ‘Let Them Know’ went Top 40 and that only reached the B-List.

For some reason they’ve stopped listing the Tune of the Weekend on the website but this week it’s Justin Bieber.

Thanks, I'll add that to the OP

Don’t mind decent longevity for Foals as they aren’t an artist that gets support from commercial radio.

How well did they support Sams last era? I know ‘Diamonds’ took a while on the Blist did it not before being A Listed?

So there are now 3 songs at once on the playlist where R1 are playing the originals despite a remix being the more popular version on streaming (Latto and Vibe Chemistry joining Ed Sheeran, although jury is maybe still out on Latto with there still being no sign of either version on Spotify).

Even with a Drake feature I am surprised R1 care enough about a Future song to give it an instant B-List add! Fab to see Sam Ryder already moved up to B although a little disappointed Fontaines D.C. haven't been moved up to A, guessing if it's not moved up next week then it never will be. Also a shame but not surprising that Denzel and Nilüfer both only got a few weeks on the C-List.

Can anyone clarify how many Fontaines DC songs have been A Listed by R1?
As I posted the other week, 0  This is their 6th song to be B-Listed (following 'Boys In The Better Land', 'Liberty Belle', 'A Hero's Death', 'Televised Mind' and 'A Lucid Dream') and 7th playlisted song overall with 'Jackie Down The Line' stalling on C.
