Yesss Sam *.* he did 495k, 60k ahead of Harry - I think that'll be just the one day at the top for him but a UK Eurovision entry getting #1 on Spotify at all is fantastic.

 

Top 15 for Kalush is amazing as well <3 only 2 places lower than 'ZITTI E BUONI' peaked, I don't expect this to hold up as well but we'll see, the Eurovision songs in general had decent legs last year (Måneskin much more than the rest ofc). Fingers crossed a top 40 entry this week is possible.

 

Pleased to see my fave of the night Amanda Tenfjord entering at #152! Also a few of my other faves (Mahmood, Zdob, Ochman) entering the top 200, Mahmood even the top 100, despite not making it on Apple, Spotify having better taste. Best of all no sign of Malik Harris :P

 

13/25 finalists making the Spotify top 200 in all, exactly the same number as last year (there are slightly more in the top 50 this year but fewer in the top 100).

 

+ yay for a solid new peak for 'SUPERMODEL', 'Beggin''/'I WANNA BE YOUR SLAVE' re-entering and even Mika being in the top 100 with 'Grace Kelly' :lol:

He could drop off by midweek though. I think that's why Julian said top 3 to be safer. Likely a locked in #2 maybe although if Harry doesn't gain much of a increase then he could actually contend for #1 tbh. It's not out of possibility.

I think being so high on HH will help him remain stable

I think he could end up @1 if he doesnt lose much in the coming days

But id say hes had at least 5k sales on itunes over the weekend, which will help

He missed out on two big days of streams (not that he did nothing on Fri/Sat of course but much less than he'll be doing for the rest of the week) and is likely to drop off quite a lot again in the next couple of days - I'd say he is in with a shot of #2/#3 but I can't see him beating Harry, would have needed a much bigger Spotify lead today I think. I'd love to be wrong though!

 

Being so high up Hot Hits could help a lot but I think it dropping off pretty sharply tomorrow is inevitable regardless.

Surely being number 1 on all the DSP charts help with the visibility as well. He has been the talk of literally every live TV and radio show this morning too. Fingers crossed it's going to be a lasting hit.

 

Sam joked he was aiming for #2 rather than #1 on the charts on Radio 2 earlier, because the song came out on 22/2/22, he sang in 22nd position and came 2nd in the 2022 contest haha
