May 5, 20223 yr Official Chart Update #ChartFact Lady Gaga is back, baby! Her new single from the Top Gun soundtrack, Hold My Hand, has just been unveiled. Lady Gaga has six Number 1 singles to her name, and her biggest hit to date in the UK is (perhaps unsurprisingly) Bradley Cooper duet Shallow from A Star Is Born, with 2.5 million UK chart sales. I had high hopes for this, but it's a stinker! I wonder if it will even make the Top 10.... I was expecting iconic after 'Take My Breath Away, but this is dirge....
May 5, 20223 yr So far it's not looking like it'll be top 40 next week either :ph34r: (it is just a soundtrack single at the end of the day though, obviously 'Shallow' was huge for her but that wasn't a guarantee of lightning striking twice). Pleasantly surprised Röyksopp haven't dropped since yesterday, hope they can hang onto the top 40 at least.
May 5, 20223 yr I believe it actually had a stronger debut day than Shallow did so hope isn't lost yet but yeah the way things are going, it'll be lucky to be top 100? I guess its only chance of making it is if the film is a success and people relate to the song through that but at the moment, it's looking to disappear without a trace unfortunately.
May 5, 20223 yr #3 on iTunes, music video tomorrow, playlisting about to start and close to top 100 on AM is not that bad. It won't be "Shallow" of course but could be "Million Reasons".
