Harry Styles could remain at #1 with Jack Harlow once again his closest competition, while Lizzo's rapid ascent with About Damn Time looks to continue. New releases include Taylor Swift's Version of This Love and Maisie Peters with Cate's Brother, along with tracks from A$AP Rocky, Lady Gaga, Doja Cat, Carly Rae Jepsen, Tove Lo, Dermot Kennedy and S-X/SKI

Arcade Fire's WE may secure a fourth #1 album for the band, with a host of releases including Jack Harlow's Come Home the Kids Miss You, Sigrid's How to Let Go, Halestorm's Back from the Dead and Belle & Sebastian's A Bit of Previous looking to make an impact. This busy week also sees new albums from Warpaint, Sharon Van Etten, Bad Bunny, Knucks, Soft Cell, Simple Plan, Sunflower Bean, Emeli Sandé, Ella Mai, Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever and The Waterboys

Breakdown of the week

- Saturday: Some information may be posted on social media but it is likely to be missing most streaming data and is unrepresentative.

- Sunday: Official First Look Chart on Radio 1 from 6-7pm. Please do not post spoilers on the forum in advance as this ruins the countdown for any listeners.

- Monday: OCC Top 100 from 5:45pm

- Tuesday: Top 40 update as and when we receive them with requests, this is NOT 100% guaranteed however. The OCC may publish sales flashes of their own accord but likewise, this is not guaranteed. Twitter and social media is your friend for today. Please post any information you find with a source. Do not nag for updates, we will post a top 40 update if we receive one.

- Wednesday: Top 40 update from Music Week from 5:45, and potential top 5 sales but this is not guaranteed.

- Thursday: See Tuesday.

Other notes (please read)

- You may make requests Tuesday to Thursday but outside the top 40, specific positions will not be revealed (unless deemed necessary by a mod).

- Please do not demand a midweek update, one will be posted as and when we receive the information. Patience is a virtue.

- Sales information will be given out as deemed necessary by a moderator, please bear this in mind when making requests. Most requests for sales will be ignored. Any chart requests between No. 41 to 100 will not be answered after Monday's update.

- To keep everyone in the loop of all chart action, please refer to the iTunes and Spotify threads.

I’d say Night Away, Reggae and Calypso and Middle of the Night have avoided but the rest are now on ACR

Be glad get Dave out top 5

He increased his sales the week after that update, so I think he's only on DCL-1 now (after last weeks chart)

To many good songs flop this year songs 2021 hang around mr brightside get high this year still say streaming broken singles chart

Edited by Dj Cheeky Magpie

And speaking of mr brightside ....

The Killers - Mr. Brightside (7X PLATINUM) or 4.2m combined sales, this week.

Hope Reggae and Calypso can stay in the Top 40 for another few weeks. And please anyone but Jack Harlow for number 1 on the album chart this week.

I think eventually you're gonna have to accept this is how it is, rather than constantly moaning about it.

wow Sigrid has a lot of vinyl formats, her label really thinks this is gonna do well:

Standard Black

D2C/Recordstore Marble Orange

Indie Exclusive Purple

Amazon Pink

HMV Clear

O2 Priority Alt Cover

Spotify Fans First Green

(Norwegian Exclusive Transparent Orange)

And speaking of mr brightside ....

The Killers - Mr. Brightside (7X PLATINUM) or 4.2m combined sales, this week.

This will easily get to 5 million. It's almost on the verge of a new peak here in Ireland which despite a chart run of over 230 weeks it's never peaked higher than Number 48.

Dermot Kennedy Hope top 40 not be happy bunny

most if not all of his songs have debuted lower in the top 100 and climbed after a couple weeks so i reckon it'll debut somewhere between 50-75 and climb over the next few weeks!
