May 20, 20224 yr Author Bieber out after only 3 weeks on the C-list :o I guess that's what you get from releasing a substandard song. Absolutely mind-boggling for Diplo getting a 10th straight week on the B-list!! Two Sams on the A-list now, though I'm not convinced Sam Smith will be joining them anytime soon. I feel like there's loads out there they could add at the moment but they're being either reluctant or slow... Maisie Peters, Pale Waves, Tate McRae, Maneskin, Ava Max to name a few.
May 20, 20224 yr Nice to see Sam and Sigrid in the A List and Foals instant add to The Blist along with Sam Smith and Maggie Rogers(my fav song on the playlist currently)! Surprised Cat Burns only got 5 week on the A List although the song has peaked now!

May 20, 20224 yr Fair play, the UK media couldn’t have supported Sam any more really. Turns out they weren’t allergic to Eurovision, just allergic to our poor songs and results and the negative mentality that that caused. I hope this is a turnaround for the BBC with selecting entries and not a one-off!

May 20, 20224 yr I know it's been 8 years, but wasn't he heavily supported (even adored) by Radio 1 last time? I wouldn't say it's totally out of the question they might give him a bit of support.
May 20, 20224 yr Fantastic to see Sam on A List *.* helps with his second week not sliding too much I'd imagine with #1 on HH now as well. I'd like Ava to be added at some point and I'd imagine they'll support 'SUPERMODEL' as well. Sounds ideal for them anyway. Yeah they supported all of Paolo's last era so I wouldn't see why they'd not support him unless they've just decided to move on from him now.
May 20, 20224 yr Author I'm not sure, the last time Paolo was on the R1 playlist was 2014. 8 years is a long time and to me he sounds like a R2 artist now... but I'm happy to be proven wrong!

The fourth single 'One Day' was B-listed. I'm still not convinced they'll continue to support him at this point in his career but it would be nice. We'll see.

I see Harry getting the same treatment one week later! Yay for Sam Ryder going A-List now, shame they couldn't quite commit to that until after its Eurovision result but it being playlisted at all was a big step in the right direction, now just to hope this year wasn't a fluke and future UK entries remain high quality and well supported. Also happy to see Future, Knucks, Maggie Rogers and PinkPantheress moving up (I don't think I've been enthused by anything from Maggie before but this one is a good song) and an excellent add from Lil Silva/Sampha <3 am not as into this single from The Mysterines as most others I've heard from them sadly but it might be a grower, lol at that radio edit title x

It's not unusual for them to do that for two weeks ('30', '=' and 'Certified Lover Boy' also got the two week treatment).
