To me this really feels like the same vibe as those house hits from 1999 by the likes of Cassius, Soulsearcher, Pete Heller, Masters at Work etc that were influenced by 70s disco, it's certainly nice to see that style back in the mainstream and the tempo change throughout this track certainly makes it stand out from those.

I'm quite surprised it's taking off so much because on paper it doesn't sound like a huge 2022 dance hit whatsoever, but I guess there always has to be one song that breaks through and starts or revives a trend. I can certainly see other producers taking note of its success and for this style of house to have a commercial revival now.

#17 in today's mids. Surprised it wasn't top 15 but maybe it breaking the Spotify and Apple top 10 on Tuesday instead of say Saturday or Sunday is why it's a bit lower than expected still. Should definitely be in the top 10 next week though <3

I really dislike the varying speed changes. It just annoys me how the tempo changes throughout, it’s like the song can’t decide if it’s a slow tempo song or a faster upbeat dance track.
This is....okay. A fun and cute bop but I don't think it's quite genre defying or that unique like people are saying, it's not too dissimilar (from the much much worse) Make Me Feel Good lol
I don't really see the similarity between them but to be fair I thought 'Make Me Feel Good' sounded quite different to other recent dance hits as well (in a way that was refreshing at first although I got quite bored of it pretty quickly).

the speed changes are genius and super well done and that's what makes the song

cannot see any similarity with the Belters Only song other than both being better than the generic Joel Corry sounds that have ruined dance music for the last 2 years

right now it's #5 on Spotify, #5 on Apple, #25 on Amazon, and even #12 on iTunes yay!!!!!

I'm glad I'm not the only one not loving this  Outside of the tempo changes (which aren't that groundbreaking), there's nothing really making me want to listen to it. The vocals and hook aren't doing much for me.

As others have mentioned though, I'm happy something different to the basic Love Island-style dance is taking off in the mainstream. BUT there is a lot of better alternative /"credible" dance out there that people are sleeping on.

Should have no problem I think climbing to #3 next week behind Kate and Harry to then jump to #1 the week after with the fast gaining on Spotify and Apple!
But again I ask why is this so special that it is a contender for #1? I just don’t get it at all. As Kath said there is much better dance music out there to be discovered. This is really not groundbreaking as Bjork thinks.
As a person who is obviously into festival music more than the club one, I quite enjoyed this when listening to the top 40 countdown. Sounds pretty fresh. The tempo change didn't irritate me at all.

I wouldn't call it groundbreaking, more than anything I'd say it's very catchy and instant

and a good antidote to the tiresome formula of Joel Corry/Becky Hill/Sigala/etc

I don't think it's a nailed on #1. As we know dance #1s are ultra rare now, especially for brand new acts with no prior hits. Everything will have to slot into place like Harry going to ACR and no other releases out of nowhere from other big names.
I'd certainly prefer music like this over Belters doing well. I don't think anyone is saying it's groundbreaking just a interesting change of dance sound preference. For me it is anyway. I get the tempo changes may annoy people though.
I'm glad some classic house track is getting chart succesful and I love this genre and this track but there are sure many tracks which sound very similar. For example stuff by Duck Sauce
