We previously asked which Gaga album had the best and worst lyrics, but now we're going to focus on production!

 

Are you a fan of RedOne's bangers, Mark Ronson's vibes, Zedd's explosive production or one of the others? Which Gaga album do you think has the best production? :o

I'd say overall Born This Way and Chromatica for me.

My first thought was Chromatica! The production is so slick and polished and perfect. Even when it is outlandish (Sine From Above) it is done so expertly. Every song has distinct production and yet the whole album flows expertly with the production keeping you going from start to end and never seeming to be jarring.

Honestly, my first thought when seeing the thread was Artpop. :kink:

 

 

So maybe it's not THE BEST production, but it's the album that I think most rests on its production, so it stands out as a leader in this "element". But, I'll always love hearing the trademark RedOne horns and stomping pop beats so The Fame Monster/Born This Way are realistically probably BETTER.

The Fame Monster and Chromatica

The Fame Monster and Born This Way are fighting for second place for me. Having thought about this moreso, it's definitely Chromatica 1st - I don't think any of the songs on it have weak production.

 

The Fame Monster is super consistent too and then Born This Way has hugely adventurous moments alongside totally euphoric moments of genius (The Edge of Glory >>>>). The other albums in her back catalogue have at least one (or in some cases, many) songs with weak production moments and aren't as consistent.

ANYTHING but ARTPOP - oh Rob 😭😭 still not over stanning 'Swine' at Swinefest and then hating the production on the studio version :(

 

I think I'd go for 'Born This Way' <3 the production is really exciting for me throughout without being too messy or anything.

ARTPOP the best? Rob is a fan of tinny, washing machine breakdowns so I'm not shocked tbh :heehee:
