The vast majority of artists would never achieve this volume of physical sales…Taylor aside, surely the next best vinyl sales in a week by a female artist in recent years is possible? Adele opened with 16,700, surely she’s the current second best.

Taylor sold over 60k in a week with midnights…wow.

Any idea if this was filmed? Intrigued to hear if they remixed Breathe and Dancing!

Very happy she’s doing ‘Dancing’! It was her biggest BMG hit before ‘Padam Padam’ and shouldn’t be forgotten about now that era is over.
Might be an unpopular opinion here but I find DISCO a much better album with a lot more highlights

May be unpopular but I'm with you on this one.

I hadn’t read this topic since Page 48, I finally got around to catching up.

I’m really pleased with the album. Personal circumstances means I haven’t been able to listen to it anywhere near as often as I’d have liked to so far. I’ve only managed to fit in 2 full plays. Despite this, almost all of the songs are stuck in my head.

Hold On to Now is just brilliant in all its Robyn-esque glory. It’s certainly one of her best “emotopop” songs. It actually made me feel a bit emotional on the first play. It has to be a single!

Things We Do for Love is so joyful. It feels straight out of the 80s, like it could have been on the soundtrack of a John Hughes movie. A huge highlight.

One More Time - it’s quite groovy, I like her laidback vocal delivery in the chorus. I feel like it’ll be a grower.

You Still Get Me High - another 80s-esque delight. I enjoy it a lot!

Hands has a very unexpected sound - it’s certainly quirky, what with a verse coming from demo singer, and some rapping. One of my least favourites though. I really can’t see it as a single like some others here do.

I feel like I’ll be one of few people defending Green Light - to me it comes across as Magic’s sassier sister, with a bit of a Say So (Doja Cat) vibe.

Vegas High is an enjoyable bop, but it hasn’t hit me to the extent that it has for others here - but maybe it’ll grow on me.

10 Out of 10 gets so much hate, and I don’t think it deserves it. I’ve always enjoyed it and it sounds right at home on the album.

Story - what a way to close off the standard album. It really hits you in the feels!

Love Train is daft but fun; it would be near the bottom of my ranking, but it’s one of the songs that pops into my head most frequently, so that must count for something!

Just Imagine - it’s the only one I can’t really remember, I’ll give it more time of course.

Somebody to Love - this is essentially Kylie does Carly Rae Jepsen, which is a great thing, obviously!

I’m happy with the sales so far this week. It’s still fantastic that it’ll exceed 50k, even though I was hopeful for 60k/instantly silver. I hope it manages to just about outdo Disco at least, but we’ll see. 9th official #1 here we come! :cheer:

P.S. Townsend have disappointed me. With their excessive postage charges they could at least package items better than they do. 4 cassettes in a flimsy Jiffy bag? I was amazed that they weren’t completely smashed. A couple of them were cracked at the top and bottom of the cassette cases, but thankfully not on the front of the case where you see the artwork. Meanwhile my Silver vinyl came with a dog-eared top corner, and a creased signed print. :nocheer: (Btw the quality of that print’s image is below par).

Green Light is soooooo good

One More Time just builds and builds

Townsend are not great, its disappointing

Jay, the album grows ans grows on you
