Thar drop of 44 to 148 was an almighty fall that week.

Very surprising how the physical sales weren’t enough.

At least we know Tension is collecting some streams and so it will achieve Gold in the not too distant future.

So no discounts yet. Perhaps they made much less overall because they’d studied the market well.

^^ It’s certainly an interesting strategy not to discount on Black Friday or for the January sales, outside of week 1 and remaining stock is a warehouse filler that will take a long time to shift, but BMG never seem to concerned with that and are happy holding onto £75 boxset versions of Disco etc.,!

I suppose on her website there’s just the CD, black vinyl and cassette left. If they reduce the cassettes I might buy them.

On Amazon Extension is £29.99 which I think is a small reduction and the various Disco vinyls are cheap…Infinite Disco under £9….Extended Disco £10.08… both so cheap…how many did they make???

I'm still biding my time with Extension. I'm determined to get at least one Kylie bargain in my life time rather than paying full price every time

Extension surely will be reduced at some point. I received it as a gift otherwise I’d have waited…..though following my thought process, perhaps they’ve produced less this time based on the Disco Extended and ID oversupply, whatever that was.

GLE is a bargain for a triple vinyl at around £20.

Oh I’ve just realised the Spotify vinyl is still for sale…very strange.

Anyone noticed that 10/10 Extended is greyed out again on Spotify uk?

^^ Townsend/Kylie store seem to hold back on some stock and then randomly put them up for sale again - I think due to the amount of complaints they get some are always held back (and whilst I’ve not had any product problems with them I’ve seen lots that have, although some of the things people complain about are  to say the least!).
i guess they happy with the way things have gone or indeed a bigger re-release of the album is coming than what we may think?

I think it is fair to say this era is over. Many will be disappointed because it wasn't done this way or that, but their are some facts that cannot be denied:

#number one Album

#top 10 single

#top 20 single

All at the age of 56.

I cant think of one of her albums ( I am very partial to X) that match this, it is an absolute banger. If this is it, the very end then she has left us with something that even she would admit would be hard to top

Tension in a way reminds me of the aphrodite era in that a really strong start with everything and then fade out after that due to it not been handled as good as it could have been.

I totally agree with you ! I feel exactly the same

Both all the lovers and padam padam are among her bigger hits, both albums made number 1 debuts with decent sales and its strange how things fell down after. I say that less so about tension the single as i thought they done great scoring a 2nd top 20 single where with get outta my way the release was messed up which probably cost it giving Kylie another top 10 hit. The third single on both albums were handled terribly.

I mean they still won't put it in the 2 for £16 HMV deal.

If they were desperate it would be in deals, reduced or in Xmas Sales

I also don’t want to squarely put the blame on the label. They can only do as much as the artist is willing to also chip in. this tension era overlapped with the Vegas residency era - I call the residency an “era” as well because all K wanted to do was promote at ANY USA radio station that would give her an interview pretty much all of summer. And then the dates began in Nov which got in the way of album promo (other than the UK). so if she’s unable to even do ukradio interviews for HOTN, for example - don’t see why the label would care. I’m not saying it’s her fault or anything - she’s at a point in her career and life where she should live out her dreams and tick off whatever is left on her bucket list. And it’s no one’s fault the Vegas era aligned with the Tension era.

Hopefully there will be more of a singular focus for the next album/“era”.

For Kylie's next album it would need her singular focus to maximize it's performance.
