With Kate Bush finally hitting #1 following a reset, she faces competition from Harry Styles and Drake, the latter will surely have a few album tracks debuting high up. There’s new singles from FKA Twigs, Chlöe, The Black Eyed Peas, Black Midi and Two Door Cinema Club

Drake should be on course for a fifth #1 with Honestly, Nevermind. Foals’ seventh album Life Is Yours is also set for a high entry while The Smile’s A Light For Attracting Attention is now out on CD and vinyl. New releases include Nova Twins’ Supernova, plus albums from Calum Scott, Perfume Genius, Logic, Example, Alanis Morissette, Nerina Pallott, Lethal Bizzle, Hercules & Love Affair, Grey Daze and Sigma

Breakdown of the week

- Saturday: Some information may be posted on social media but it is likely to be missing most streaming data and is unrepresentative.

- Sunday: Official First Look Chart on Radio 1 from 6-7pm. Please do not post spoilers on the forum in advance as this ruins the countdown for any listeners.

- Monday: OCC Top 100 from 5:45pm

- Tuesday: Top 40 update as and when we receive them with requests, this is NOT 100% guaranteed however. The OCC may publish sales flashes of their own accord but likewise, this is not guaranteed. Twitter and social media is your friend for today. Please post any information you find with a source. Do not nag for updates, we will post a top 40 update if we receive one.

- Wednesday: Top 40 update from Music Week from 5:45, and potential top 5 sales but this is not guaranteed.

- Thursday: See Tuesday.

Other notes (please read)

- You may make requests Tuesday to Thursday but outside the top 40, specific positions will not be revealed (unless deemed necessary by a mod).

- Please do not demand a midweek update, one will be posted as and when we receive the information. Patience is a virtue.

- Sales information will be given out as deemed necessary by a moderator, please bear this in mind when making requests. Most requests for sales will be ignored. Any chart requests between No. 41 to 100 will not be answered after Monday's update.

- To keep everyone in the loop of all chart action, please refer to the iTunes and Spotify threads.

Really hope Kate can hold on for a 2nd week, and hopefully the s4 vol 2. release will give it another decent push so she gets a few weeks at the top!
I think it’s unlikely she will claim a 2nd week at the top, she’s dropping very quickly and I suspect Harry will overtake her on Spotify either today or tomorrow, and still have no idea what sort of numbers to expect from drake
I don't think it's necessarily a given that Drake will get the #1 album this time, he's going to have nearly negligible pure sales and his streaming is off to a much slower start than CLB's (and I get the feeling it's not going to hold up that well, though I should note I thought this about 'Harry's House' too and was quite emphatically wrong lol). Think it'll at least be quite close with Foals, and The Smile's physical sales could still be a spanner in the works too.

after Drake's mediocre start on streaming, I'd say Foals will be #1!

Yes been here since Tuesday red hot today 33c on way Helsinki tomorrow

I think I am right in saying this:

Kate Bush has had a reset so is not under ACR threat for 3 weeks

21 of the top 22 songs on Friday's chart increased their sales so are not under ACR threat for 3 weeks ( including Peru ! )

The only song in the top 22 to have a sales decrease was Sam Ryder , however as he has only been in the chart for 6 weeks he is also not under ACR until he has been in the chart for 9 weeks.

So the chart looks stable for the next 3 weeks so it's up to the new entries to shake things up a bit.

Helsinki, yay!! My home town! What are your plans here?

Definitely not 33 degrees here

Kate's streaming numbers decreased as well (the reset meant that her streaming units counting to the chart increased massively of course, but it's still counted as a decline as far as the ACR criteria goes, so she would go to ACR again with just 2 more weeks of decline). But yes, everything else at the top end of the chart most likely has at least 3 more weeks on SCR, assuming their overall sales increases also correspond to streaming increases (which is true 99% of the time these days).
