It's a bop and I'm sure it'll be a grower! I guess if this is a dance album it makes sense to sample such a massive dance classic as Show Me Love, but it does feel like a bit of an uninspired sample that doesn't hugely benefit the song and I would've loved for it to be something more obscure instead. Tbh I'm more here for the Big Freesia sample, that really elevates the song for me!
Lemonade was not dire, you are just a philistine.

It barely scalped a scrap of a decent song among the whole collection!! Overhyped, underproduced, boring beats.

i’m loving this! great hook + it’s so good to hear her on something like this. i haven’t really enjoyed her recent projects so it’s nice to have her back in the mainstream. only negative is that i don’t think it needs to be 4:38, i think a single/radio edit will trim the excess a little + leave an absolute bop.

Also barely scalping a scrap of a decent post among your whole collection, but what can we do? 🤷‍♂️

YOU LEAVE .Y WEV OUT OF THIS!!! This is about how overrated Lemonade is! If anyone sang it, people wouldn't have bren falling over it. Bland.

I like it. nothing amazing but it’s solid

could this be her first #1 since 2010? As if it’s been 12 years since she got to the top, and even 7 years since a top 10 and 6 years since a top 20 single !

I find Lemonade fairly unlistenable tbh :kink: I find it very devoid of anything that really grabs me and makes me want to repeat listen - perhaps only 'All Night' I return to? A lot of the songs I find more style over substance and actually quite annoying. I forever compare it to Self-titled which is her absolute masterpiece and so it's a tough act to follow. I am excited for her making a departure from the Lemonade vibes with this era and hopefully I'm fully on board again~

It’s a great song and I know we always complain about short songs but I wish it was a bit shorter it does drag towards the end because it’s so repetitive.

It’s iconic though! There’s nothing in the chart like it!

It's a grower, but it's still more annoying than it is catchy for me. Too repetitive and the sample etc..

A song I will bop to and I'll probably have moments where I'm really invested with it before tiring of it and then getting back into it etc.. I assume it'll be a hit for her and a pretty big one. Maybe this will be her 'Believe'/'Hung Up' chart resurgence, perhaps?

EDIT: Also... this low-key reminds me of 'Die A Little Bit' by Tinashe in parts.

I re-listened to her discography in the run up to this in the last week or so. I definitely felt similar to Haus about 'Lemonade' originally, but I actually really enjoyed and appreciated it more on this listen through.

Magnum Opus:

01. Beyoncé > XO is that bitch. Sorry. <

Amazing:

02. I Am... Sasha Fierce > Home to some of my least fave Bey tracks though! <

Liked it:

03. Lemonade

Nice listen:

04. 4 > Re-listening to this made me remember how much I loved 'Best Thing I Never Had' <

More miss than hit, but the hits, hit (for the most part):

05. Dangerously In Love

06. B-Day

Also, probs another unpopular opinion but her "growls" (which I assume she's largely known for?) are off putting most of the time. Idk, they just feel forced and unnatural (not saying they are, but idk it just feels like they are)
