To be fair I don't think the new Calvin is a proper single, it's just another preview track from the album like 'New Money' was.
yes, Stay with Me is the current single
Spotify updated, Beyoncé not holding up as well as I expected, her highest album track (excluding break my soul) is down to #13 today. The lowest album track down to #77

It’s not bad and it’s exactly what I was expecting.

I don’t know why some of you expected Bey to be dominating a platform like Spotify when she is a 40 year old black woman 25 years into her career. It doesn’t help that she has all but abandoned streaming for the past decade.

It’s genuinely impressive that she’s still able to compete with the young artists of today in the way that she is doing. I also think this album is going to serve longevity based on the songs I’ve heard. Alien Superstar sounds great and I can definitely see that becoming a hit.

Break My Soul is still number one, I can see her having a lead until Wednesday. If she drops the music video i think she will manage #1!

so Beyonce already down to doing the same figures as Afraid to Feel :/

1 Break my soul 396K

2 Afraid to feel 392K

4 CC-Doja 357K

so looks like Afraid to Feel will keep the #1

But Spotify has treated it like if it was a young artist like Dua or Harry, definitely it hasn't been treated like a Pink or Mariah release

The buzz was gigantic and it hasn't delivered the figures the buzz suggested, especially in the US

It's certainly looking like Afraid To Feel will keep the #1 this week. On Amazon's daily chart, Break My Soul is now #8 with no other Beyoncé tracks in sight, but no Central Cee either, so I'll be interested to see their weekly ~Most Played~ chart tomorrow for a better idea of how they're doing there.
Glad to see Afraid To Feel stabilising after a bit of a crash last week. I like Break My Soul and would be perfectly happy with it getting a turn at #1 officially but ATF is the better track by some way for me.

I’m seeing that it’s performing very well in the US based on projections. It’s also had a very small drop in the US on Spotify and she’s still dominating AM.

The narrative being pushed by some that this is an underperformance doesn’t really stand up when you actually look at the statistics.

BMS is also expected to go to #1 on BB100 next week, so she’ll be #1 on both BB100 and BB200 simultaneously, 25 years into her career.

Like, let’s give credit where credit is due here. I’m not the biggest fan of Beyoncé but I still think what she’s doing is very impressive.

I'd like ATF to keep up the weeks at #1 a bit longer but I wouldn't begrudge Beyoncé having a turn (I'm not sure she'll get there tbh). Anything is better than Central Cee!

Has Beyoncé ever been a streaming force?

Also, I don’t think everything clicks on the album until a few listens and I think most of the songs sound better within the album than they do individually in a playlist

Lemonade had quite a few album tracks make the top 40 and that was just from Tidal (and iTunes downloads), its fair to say that would’ve dominated Spotify if she didn’t wait three years to finally release it there.

'CHURCH GIRL' was my immediate favourite from the Beyoncé album (well, between that and poor brave 'AMERICA HAS A PROBLEM'), to push back against the slander a few pages back x Shame that doesn't look likely to be one of her 3 charting songs despite the Hot Hits add. 'ALIEN SUPERSTAR' and 'CUFF IT' are both alright but not among my highlights (especially the latter although I do think that's probably the most mainstream friendly song on the album so not surprised it's doing well).

'ALIEN SUPERSTAR' is really coming to be the third hit in the span of ~5 years that samples 'I'm Too Sexy'

Her albums Beyoncé and Lemonade both had really great streams. In particular the latter despite it being tidal exclusive and the "Formation" video was unlisted on youtube for ages so didn't get very many views at first. If Lemonade was available on all streaming services she would've done mind boggling numbers for the time. She gets a lot of good residual streams for her catalogue too. They will likely increase a bit with her ongoing new album era.

I hope "Break My Soul" will manage a new peak at least even if it doesn't get to #1 this week.

Apple Music

11. Alesso & Zara Larsson - Words

:cheeseblock:

#8 without 3 Bey songs :cheeseblock:

i can't remember which are her highest peaks there, but "Words" is probably TOP 5 i guess.
