Is it common that someone would have the cover on NMF but not the #1 track?

Ouch a new album by DK Khaled :o guess 7 more collaborations with Drake :D

Is every track on the album going to start with him shouting "We the best music"? I usually switch off at about that point when I play a DJ Khaled song.

Wow at 'Yellow' still climbing - is it just becoming a TikTok hit now? Would be really lovely if it can manage to re-enter the top 40 but will probably need to maintain its momentum for the next week to do so as I doubt it will have done enough to sneak in today. (Mind, all their other songs are still moving up too so it may just still be a slow burning tour effect)

There is technically a second Drake collab on the album but it's less than a minute long so looks like Drake couldn't even be bothered to donate a second full leftover for the album :lol:

 

That's track 1 on the album, then track 2 (the one I've seen the most discussion of by far from first impressions) is an 8 minute (!) song including a full 4 minute long Jay-Z verse. Would not have expected DJ Khaled of all people to be resisting the short song trend like this. His albums never do as well as you'd think from how packed they are anyway though (maybe because people know they're like 90% leftover songs with some pointless ad libs shouted over them lol, but by all accounts Jay-Z at least seems to have put some effort in this time)

One of the songs on the DJ Khaled album is just a remix of Kanye's 'Use This Gospel' (off the JESUS IS KING album) with an added Eminem's verse and production from Dr. Dre that had already leaked last year. Nowhere near as good as the original with Clipse and Kenny G! I have no idea how it ended up on a Khaled album :lol:

Iirc, it's actually even more rare to be #1 AND have the cover. I *think* only the major streaming artists do that (Ed, Drake, Adele, Dua etc..)

Really strong start for Elton/Britney - sales for #1 are not exactly the strongest they've ever been so I wonder if they have a shot at a #1 debut at this rate? (Poor Eliza Rose if so x).

 

Speaking of Eliza Rose it looks like the edit version is definitely establishing dominance now - until recently they were still pretty close on Apple but the edit is now #2 there with the full version down to #46(!) while on Spotify they're now #7 and #20, respectively up 3 and down 4. I had a feeling this would happen eventually but it really took its time and then suddenly started happening very rapidly :lol:

Hasn't it been used loads over the last few years? That Flo Rida song Sugar, Nea's Some Say which was big on the continent, also a big Italian rap hit Auto Blu by Shiva used it last year, the first two alone were probably enough for Ava's team to feel it's had enough exposure. Which it clearly has, but that wasn't going to stop Guetta!

I think this Guetta song actually predates Ava's entire career as well (well, 'Sweet But Psycho' onwards). It's taken literal years to finally come out for some reason :lol:

I think the edit is the version that's on Hot Hits etc so it's still quite impressive the original held up as well. They also recently changed the production on both versions but the change is more subtle on the edit. The song was perfect as it was so it's kinda bugging me that they did this all of a sudden.
