Amazing for 505 to be at #17 although I was kinda hoping with all the recent hype and the low stream figures at the top that it could have got even further up the chart.

 

I'm just hoping they can get some notable streams for the new album when it's released since frustratingly they might need it now to aid it getting to #1.

but actually I think the OneRep song doesn't sound much like their usual sound, to me it sounds identical to that Portugal the Man song from a few yers back

rather than sounding like the OneRep classics

 

but agree it's bizarre it's doing so well, #3 on both Spotify and Amazon right now, #10 on Apple

 

and the supposed big song from the soundtrack kinda misfired by comparison :o

'I Ain't Worried' definitely (unfortunately) sounds more like a big hit than 'Hold My Hand' though, I don't think it's particularly surprising that it's taken off more. Gaga is lucky they pushed her song first really so it wasn't overshadowed from day 1 lol ~

 

'As It Was' back with a chance of reclaiming its title as the longest running Spotify #1 of the year then maybe - this is its 57th day at #1, Kate Bush had 60.

I never ever would have predicted I Ain't Worried to go top 5, even 3 weeks ago

I really had them as dead and buried, their last 20 singles all flopped

 

great to see Arctic Monkeys in at #49 on Apple, hopefully big debut tomorrow on Spotify

One Republic have always seemed a bit like Maroon 5 in that with the right song, they could always get another hit. Counting Stars in itself was a surprise hit initially. Glad this has done well, but as others have mentioned, they have put our better material in the last year.

 

Shame Elton/Britney is dropping daily still, especially with such low numbers at the top of the chart. Hopefully it stabilises soon. Apple at least are giving decent support.

Could One Republic challenge for #1 at some point in the future? :o

 

Also so happy to see the David Guetta/Bebe Rexha song is still climbing. :wub: It's doing so well despite luke warm playlist support (It's only ~30 on Hot Hits UK/not on Today's Top Hits). It's going to be massive once it gets more support.

Personally I think the #1s this year have been dreadful lol, Starlight was/is amazing but the other 7 have all been tragic imo, so another tragic #1 this year wouldn't change much for me. That goes for BOTA as well as I Ain't Worried.
