Long time lurker. First time poster. I have an idea. What do you think? Kneecap are currently leading the race. They are an Irish catholic republican band with a big following. There is a massive

Really do hope she goes top 5.

Agree it’s a good solid album that ill probably play a lot this year but I can’t see it being one I go back to many years from now

She's #2 on the midweeks with over 11,500 copies so far. She is 1300 copies behind #1 which is Kneecap (great band!)

This was just shared on Spice Circle.

Good pre-orders and initial opening numbers. Let's hope she continues to build over the week. I can see a #3 or #4 for her!!

Mel C Sunday midweeks - #2 11,500 she's 1,306 copies behind Kneecap.

Wow! I’m shocked she’s already done 11.5k!!

I have no idea who Kneecap are but that’s so annoying if she remains at 2 all week being so close to number 1.

Incredible she’s passed 10k already!

Just remembered Banquet personally signed and the Cassette orders won’t be included yet so there’s a chance she could do it still with a pretty big push.

Those are her best opening numbers since Reason already, good for her.

Kneecap are great too. Whatever happens, she should be proud of herself here.

the streaming number last time were bigger also for the remixes and acoustic versions eps, it's absurd this time the total lack of digital releases in 6 months of waiting

Shocked she’s beating Kacey but she has thrown so much at this release and really given the fans a proper release week.

Streaming will harm both Kneecap and Mel so it’s all to play for!

Love Kneecap.

This. I love Kneecap and what they stand for. If she ends up at 2 or top5, this will still be amazing.

She’s a Spice Girl, with decades of success, and she got nothing to prove. But I’d love to see her doing great - this might also push the other girls to give it a try again (group and/or solo).

They've been in the news a lot over the last 2-3 years for....shall we say causing a stir.

That's incredible for her though! Way better than I would've expected, hope it can hold up.

I'm really impressed with the album! Even with a couple of listens, it's definitely already in my Top 5 favourite albums by Melanie. I think my early highlight is Flick of the Wrist, and Drum Machine is a great single choice.

Incredible numbers omg! Now is the time to release vinyls with different covers but they won't release variants anymore (according to Spice Circle)

I think all she can do now, regarding new formats, is create new digital versions. Such as Instrumental / Acapella. Hopefully she has something up her sleeve!

I've seen a few people mention they wish the HMV artwork and the Spice Boys artwork were on vinyl.

Chris from Spice Circle said that there won't be any variants release this week which is a bummer. Now it's time to release them!

She could easily add signed numbered posters to the vinyl / CD on her website with the poster to follow shortly.

Limited edition signed poster with a CD / Cassette limited to 200 hand numbered and signed (that would be an easy 400 extra sales)

Drum Machine, Pressure and One Track Mind are the clear standouts for me. I was expecting more songs on the album to be like Pressure.

It’s the only song on the album that feels like Melanie is combining her DJ and pop career. I love how it’s over 4 minutes. It really lets the song breathe and takes you on a journey.

Drum Machine should have been the first single. It has an edge to it that Sweat doesn’t. Sweat is a decent song but it’s a little corny.

One Track Mind is probably my favorite on the album. Melanie is at her best when she does moody, atmospheric songs. Think Closer, Feel The Sun, Home, Wonderland, You’ll Get Yours, Enemy, Blame, etc. I wish there was a few more songs like One Track Mind on the album.

Just got signed the album, vinyl format, at Manchester! She looks stunning and also feels tired! Shes been really nice to me and introduces me her boyfriend since i bring her Majorca postcards. They were there past summer so i bring best beaches they should visit is they come Back. Seems both really liked them!! :) (also got signed Spice Vinyl hahaha)
