A clip of this song has been doing very well on TikTok. It's been used in 56.7k videos, and a lot of the top videos in the search have hundreds of thousands of likes. That seems like the best possible thing to happen in advance of release, so maybe this song will actually do something for them?

I saw a TikTok earlier of someone saying the clip circulating is likely to be the best bit of the song and that's it, but that's usually all a track needs to take off these days. I've heard a couple of other clips and the track certainly maintains itself throughout. I think this could be a big hit for them.

I can't see why they would be, because it's continuing to have such a huge amount of exposure on TikTok! It's the perfect start for a song to achieve this level of attention pre-release. Maybe the pushback is so its release doesn't seem inappropriate so close to the Queen's funeral. Or maybe the label feels like the song has legs to become even more widespread on TikTok than it already is. It'll be interesting to see how it does on streaming!

LOVE. IT. The TikTok clip really doesn't overshadow how good this is at all

It’s fine but it’s short. They could’ve slipped in a bridge.

The credits list is stacked: Ilya (Ariana), Cirkut (The Weeknd, Ava), Jimmy Napes (Sam, Disclosure), Omer Fedi (Justin Bieber, Lil Nas X) and Blake Slatkin (Lil Nas X, 25kGoldn).

Oh wow this is a bop and a half! Was not expecting it to be this good! I can see them having a big hit on their hands with this.
Yeh this is fantastic and wasn’t anything like I expected it to sound like Middle Eastern RnB!

I don't mind it, but I really, REALLY wish it was someone else singing it. I'm really not a fan of Sam's voice and it feels like they drag it down massively for me. I was hoping Kim was more prominent in the final chorus.

It's a good song though. I like it.

Just heard a longer clip on iTunes. It’s just weird. Really not great at all.
Total cringe at Sam Smith ditching snoozefest ballads and suddenly singing She be poppin it and using the F word in songs
Sam’s vocals are incredibly jarring on this. Big no!!

There's a metal cover on TikTok by Loveless (and David Michael Frank duetted it) and it's hot with a high note that gives it build and makes it far better that the original. It sucks Sam Smith's label will never let them release a full version but I would listen to that on repeat.

^anybody can release a cover of anything, you don't need permission

it's for samples that you need permission but not for doing a cover
