September 23, 20222 yr Totally unrelated but while watching the Live Lounge version I was recommended Sam Smith's version of Seventeen Going Under and it was so bad and devoid of any emotion that I had to find a live version of Sam Fender singing it to forget about it. People were tagging metropolitan police in the comments to the Live Lounge post saying they wanted to report a crime
September 23, 20222 yr This sounds like they’re trying so desperately to make a bop and utterly failed when the end result came out as absolute noise
September 23, 20222 yr Do we know what took Sam so long to release this? Coz I've been hearing that chorus on Tik Toks for (what feels like) months now. After the initial hype, I think this could be quite a short run for them tbh. Already seen a Tik Tok of someone say that they missed the boat and that they are a month or so too late coz nobody cares for the song much anymore, that video had 110k likes last night or something.
September 23, 20222 yr Can we please remember to use the correct pronouns. Sam has come out as non-binary for a while now, so it shouldn't really be happening anymore. I have edited the post to use the correct pronouns, but this is the warning that from this point on, anymore and the post will be immediately removed and warnings may be given. Thank you.

Meanwhile 'Heat Waves' remained popular for like 2 years straight

Then it was scheduled for early september. The label kept pushing it back to 'draw it out and build the hype' and then ofc the queen died so they weren't gonna release it then so thats why its taken so long!
September 24, 20222 yr But is it cos of Sam dueting with Kim Petras? is that whats interesting people? cos I cannot see why suddenly people are interested in Sam Smith, people have never been, I may sure all the Karens bought the debut album at Tescos but don't think Sam has the hardcore fanbase...
September 24, 20222 yr It's just the fact this is a good song. Not to do with either artists. Psycho however is not a bop lol

It’s simply the song! People on TikTok seem to like the strangeness of the whole sound, how it sounds a little creepy/demonic with the choir in the chorus.
September 24, 20222 yr Psycho is the worst thing in the history of music lol :D this one really sounds weird to me
September 24, 20222 yr Necessary bump.. just had to remove a post (reading the post, I presume it wasn't intentional - but that doesn't matter) Can we please remember to use the correct pronouns. I have edited the post to use the correct pronouns, but this is the warning that from this point on, anymore and the post will be immediately removed and warnings may be given. Thank you. They've been out as non-binary since 2019 and it's been a big story. Please remember their correct pronouns.
